Exploring Life & Business with Dr. Kaushal Kalra of Health 360 Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Kaushal Kalra.

Hi Dr. Kaushal, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Question 1: Walk Us Through Your Story
Memphis has a health crisis that a 15-minute doctor’s appointment was never designed to solve. The city carries some of the highest rates of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease in the country. People here are seeing physicians. They are joining gyms. They are starting diets. And most of the time, none of it sticks. Not because people lack willpower or commitment, but because nothing in the system is actually connected. The doctor does not know what the trainer is doing. The nutritionist does not know what the doctor found in the labs. The emotional weight of trying to change your health while navigating a fragmented, sometimes indifferent system goes entirely unaddressed. Health 360 Wellness was built to change that.

The vision took shape through more than two decades of practicing medicine in Memphis. Dr. Kaushal Kalra, board certified in both family medicine and obesity medicine, and also certified as a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist, had spent years watching the same cycle repeat itself. A client would come in, get a diagnosis, receive a prescription, and leave. Maybe they would follow up. Maybe they would not. The interventions were real but incomplete. What was missing was not a better drug or a better diet plan. What was missing was a system, a true integration of clinical medicine, nutrition science, movement, and behavioral health working in concert around a single person and their specific goals.

Building that system meant building a team. Every provider at Health 360 Wellness was chosen not just for individual excellence but for the ability to function as part of something larger. Jackie Hodges, a registered dietician, brings evidence-based nutrition tailored to each client’s body, labs, and lifestyle. Chad Finley, a certified personal trainer and exercise specialist, brings movement, strength, and performance programming that is informed by the client’s medical picture. Tywanda Williams, a licensed clinical social worker and behavioral health specialist, addresses the emotional and psychological dimensions of health change, because almost no one navigates real transformation without confronting those. LaWanda Wilson, the practice’s care coordinator, makes sure clients feel held, not shuffled. This is not a referral network. These providers work together, share information, and build unified plans.

The physical space at 7975 Courtyard Plaza in Memphis was designed to reflect that integration. This is not a waiting room with a scale and a blood pressure cuff. It is a purpose-built environment where clinical assessment, nutritional guidance, fitness programming, and behavioral health support can happen under one roof, in a setting that communicates from the moment you walk in that you are being taken seriously. Getting to this space required time, permits, construction timelines that did not always cooperate, and the kind of sustained belief in a vision that only holds up because the need is real and urgent.

Health 360 Wellness has been in practice for two years. Due to expanding demand, we have now moved into a new facility, which held its grand opening on May 28, 2026. Those dates are milestones but not the destination. The destination is a community where integrated, physician-led wellness care is not a luxury, novelty, nor something you have to travel out of state to access. It is here, it is real, and it is ready.

Question 6: Pricing Information
Health 360 Wellness offers multiple access pathways to ensure that integrated, physician-led care is within reach for as many clients as possible.

For those ready to commit to the full system, there are two membership programs. The Health 360 Flagship is the highest level of personalized care: one-on-one guidance from the full care team throughout a 12-month membership. The initial visit is $499, followed by $399 per month for the remainder of the membership. Only $5000 for the full year.
The Group Visit Program delivers the same full Health 360 system in a shared group setting, with the added energy and accountability of peers. The initial visit is $299, followed by $199 per month for the remainder of the 12-month membership. Only $2500 total for the year.

Both programs include physician visits and medical management, registered dietitian sessions, exercise specialist coaching, BIA, RMR, and VO2 Max diagnostics, behavioral and mindfulness support, and ongoing monitoring and plan adaptation. Financing for both is available through CareCredit.

For clients who want a structured entry point before committing to a full membership, the 90-Day Transformation delivers the complete Health 360 system over 90 days at $500 per month for three months, with financing available through CareCredit.

Not sure where to begin? The Start Here initial meeting is a $99 one-time session that includes a preliminary health assessment covering your history, goals, and baseline metrics, along with a first physician consultation before any program or intervention begins.

For individuals with unique medical needs, performance goals, or specific circumstances, customized programs are available following an initial consultation and clinical review.
All medication, including GLP-1, is billed through insurance for clients in the program, making this level of care far more accessible than most people expect.

We believe access to integrated, physician-led care should not be a luxury. Reach out and let’s find the path that works for you.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building something that has not existed in this region before is not a smooth process. Health 360 Wellness does not fit a familiar category. It is not a gym. It is not a med spa. It is not a diet clinic. It is not a traditional physician practice. When you cannot say, “we’re like X but better,” you have to do the harder work of helping people understand an entirely new concept. The term “medical fitness” is accurate and useful, but it is not yet part of most people’s vocabulary. That education is an ongoing commitment, and it has required thinking carefully about how to communicate what Health 360 Wellness does without oversimplifying, without sounding clinical and cold, and without comparison to traditional practices that do not share its depth or standards.

The physical build-out of the facility was its own chapter. Designing and constructing a purpose-built space that could support clinical care, nutrition consultations, fitness programming, and behavioral health services required coordination across multiple contractors, a timeline that stretched and shifted, and the ongoing discipline to hold the vision steady when the practical realities of construction made that challenging. Health 360 Wellness is not a concept that benefits from being rushed. It had to be done correctly.

As you know, we’re big fans of Health 360 Wellness . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Health 360 Wellness operates on a model called medical fitness: physician-led care that fully integrates clinical medicine, registered dietetics, certified personal training, and licensed behavioral health into one coordinated program. Dr. Kalra describes it this way: every pearl is precious, but pearls do not make a necklace without a thread. Health 360 Wellness is that thread. The coordination is the product. The integration is the intervention. There is no other practice in Memphis doing this at this depth. This is a single practice where four highly credentialed professionals share information, align on strategy, and deliver care that is individualized, evidence-based, and ongoing.

There is no other practice in Memphis doing this at this depth. The clinical foundation is Dr. Kaushal Kalra, MD, MPH, CPT, CES, board certified in family medicine and obesity medicine, and also certified as a personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist. He brings the ability to order and interpret labs, prescribe medications, manage complex chronic conditions, and make clinical decisions that inform every other part of the client’s program. Jackie Hodges, RD, brings evidence-based nutrition, not a generic meal plan, but a nutritional strategy built around what the client’s body actually shows. Chad Finley, MS, CPT, ISSA, brings structured, progressive fitness programming designed to meet clients where they are and build real physical capacity. Tywanda Williams, LCSW, CCM, BCBC, brings the behavioral health dimension, because almost every person navigating a meaningful health change is also navigating fear, history, habit, and identity, and those things do not resolve on a treadmill or at a dinner table alone.

One of the services that Health 360 Wellness offers is GLP-1 medication management. These medications have changed what is possible for clients navigating obesity and metabolic disease. But they are a tool, not a solution, and they work best inside a comprehensive program that addresses nutrition, movement, and behavior alongside pharmacology. Health 360 Wellness provides exactly that, and for eligible clients, GLP-1 management is supported through insurance coverage, reducing the cost dramatically compared to cash-pay alternatives. This makes access broader and the outcomes more durable.

What the team is most proud of is the clients. The person who came in not knowing where to start, who had tried programs before and been let down by the gaps between them, who left the first appointment with a clear picture of what their body needed and a team committed to walking with them. Those outcomes are what this practice exists to produce, and they are already happening.

The scope of care at Health 360 Wellness spans weight management, chronic disease management, longevity and prevention, and high performance. Whether a client is managing Type 2 diabetes, working toward a specific athletic goal, navigating the early signs of metabolic disease, or simply deciding to take their long-term health seriously, this is the practice built for that conversation. Memphis now has this. That matters.

What’s next?
The grand opening on May 28, 2026 is a starting line. Health 360 Wellness has a full calendar of community engagement in the planning stages, beginning with monthly free health events open to the public. These events are substantive, accessible health education opportunities, featuring specialist guest speakers and real clinical content, designed to bring the expertise inside Health 360 Wellness into the broader Memphis community.

Health 360 Wellness is also actively building the AIP, an aligned independent physician referral network that connects Memphis physicians with the integrated wellness resources their clients often need and cannot easily find. The goal is to become the most trusted referral destination in Memphis for physicians who want to send their clients somewhere that will actually produce results, a place where clinical rigor meets comprehensive support. That relationship with the broader Memphis medical community is not a side project. It is central to the practice’s long-term impact.

The larger vision is proof of concept. Memphis is a city with enormous need and enormous capacity for change. Health 360 Wellness is committed to demonstrating that integrated, physician-led wellness care can work at scale in a city like this, and that when people are given a real system instead of disconnected pieces, they get real results. What is being built at 7975 Courtyard Plaza is a model, and the ambition is to see it grow.
