Check Out Roland Murzin’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roland Murzin.

Roland, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Murzin Roland Viktorovich, known professionally as BLOODDROP (https://instagram.com/blooddropondaroad). An American rapper, singer, and songwriter is known for pioneering work in a sub-genre of hip-hop referred to as hardcore rap, horrorcore, and punk rap. I started creating lyrics and recording ’em when I was 15 y.o., though I’ve been making music for 7 years.

Imho, for becoming even a local known artist you should always improve yourself mentally and physically. I was born in a middle-class family, but also extraordinary. We were rich, we got yachts, and cars, lived in Dubai, and also we were poor… We didn’t even have cash for actual food. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about why I was wasting away my life when I had whatever I wanted and didn’t invest in my future. But only recently did I understand what life takes – pay or learn by yourself.

After all these highs and lows you start to understand how it feels to be free in every sense of the word. My first microphone was bought by me when I was 17 and I really couldn’t understand how to mix my semblance of songs. Sounds funny, huh? After spending a lot of time – I can truly call myself a sound engineer/artist/songwriter.

We’re working on our projects almost every day, recording in the studio, thinking about further promos, announces, etc. Now, we have every hardware we need for creating – studio monitors, mixers, micros, and more, although more recently I didn’t have any headphones for it.

We started making music as a crew: a designer (https://instagram.com/omu_reboot), another artist – AICO (https://instagram.com/aico_grey), producer – Young Doom (https://instagram.com/prod.youngdoom), and still keep moving. And the more I deepen into the music sphere, the more I learned.

The main thing of the dream – is to strive for it without thinking about how much time it’ll take, power, or whatever.

Just do what your heart set to and see what happens!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Rapper’s business as usual. Drugs, shots, drug trafficking, criminal charges, and I’ll get a jurisprudence degree soon.

It still is very rough, but now without incidents. Sorry for the truth.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
No matter what it looked like to the outside – I do specialize in crew commanding, every music release is a big word, I should admit. I don’t touch the production sphere, it’s not my specialization, but I should hear what I wanted to in it. My main mission is to make lyrics for songs, record them, and mix vocals.

My crewmate AICO doesn’t do that nowadays, but he’s really learning how to work with EQ, compressors, and vocal effects. About designer – visuals and promos, cover arts, and music clips that what’s designer does. Then, of course, distribution.

It takes a lot of time to make 1 song and release it, I don’t mention long-play albums. I like to experiment with sounds. Effects and natural voice. Also, producer loves to make something interesting of their materials (acapella, vibe, etc.). Literally, just recently we’ve released my debuted album named: Blood Drops

1. I Remember The Smell Of The First Blood (Intro)
2. Blood Drops
3. Most Wanted Ft. AICO
4. Hot Wheels – 666 Degrees Ft. AICO
5. Paranoia Ft. 人斬りキョンシィ
6. The Day I Would Never Like To Relive Again
7. 1994
8. Person Who’s Strugglin’ Of Being Infamous
9. Things Changed (Outro)

Genre: Hip-hop/Rap, Underground Rap, Gangster Rap.

Sub-genre: Hardcore Rap, Punk Rap, West Coast Hip-hop, Experimental Hip-hop.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking?
Creatives are always big risks because people can don’t understand the meaning of it or the idea of your creation. On another side, people can relate their feelings to themselves. We always have chances, but the main thing is to see ’em.
