Check Out Ryan Humbert of The Shootout’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Humbert.

Hi Ryan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We’re a country-western band from Northeast Ohio that specializes in classic and vintage-styled Honky Tonk, Western swing, rockabilly, and more.

The band was started with the intention of being a side project for singer Ryan Humbert and guitarist Brian Poston and very quickly turned into a full-fledged passion. Since our first show in October of 2015, we’ve released two albums, including 2021’s “Bullseye” which landed in the Americana Radio Top 10 and was produced by Chuck Mead.

Our next album “Stampede” will be out in early 2023, produced by Ray Benson of Asleep at The Wheel.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being in a band, and keeping that band running and moving forward, takes an enormous amount of time, energy, money, blood, sweat, and tears.

A lot of folks forget that the music business is just that — a business. It requires constant attention just like any other business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We’re incredibly proud of our mission statement: to continue to spread the gospel of real, traditional country music. So many folks love it but don’t know where to find it anymore.

Real country music is alive and well. We’re hoping to continue that mission for many years to come.
