Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Puckett.
Hi Caitlin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started doing hair in 2011 and quickly fell in love with opposite sides of the industry, Barbering and Wedding styling. I worked for a company for a time that only supported barbering so, after opening Eastwick Barbershop in 2022 with my two business partners, I really got to put more effort back into Wedding styling
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As I mentioned before, I worked for a company that only supported barbering, but my love for wedding styling was always there. Where as before, I was only able to take on a few weddings a year, if that. Now I’m able to take on as many as I can!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m most proud of being able to do both of my passions together. These days more couples are having mixed gendered wedding parties so getting to pamper everyone from someone wanting an updo, to someone needing their face cleaned up is so fun for me!
What makes you happy?
Knowing that I helped someone feel their best for something so important and getting to be a small part of the happiest day of someone’s life is so incredibly special to me.
