Meet Hazel Caldwell of Kingdomcaptureco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hazel Caldwell.

Hi Hazel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a vision much bigger than myself. From a young age, I always had a heart for helping others, especially those experiencing homelessness. I told myself that one day I would own a homeless shelter and use my gifts to make a difference in people’s lives.
As I got older, I realized that entrepreneurship would allow me to turn my passions into opportunities to serve others. I started multiple businesses, including photography, hairstyling, candle making, and becoming an author. Each business was created with a purpose. Through photography, I help people bring their visions to life and build confidence. As a hairstylist, I enjoy helping others feel beautiful and empowered. Through candle making, I aim to create products that encourage peace, reflection, and healing. As an author, I share my story and experiences to motivate others and remind them never to give up.
At the same time, I have continued pursuing my career in journalism while growing my businesses. One of my personal goals has always been to achieve financial freedom at a young age, not simply for wealth, but so I can have the freedom to invest more into my purpose and the people around me.
Today, I continue building these businesses because I believe success is about more than making money—it’s about using your gifts and talents to positively impact others. Every step of my journey has been guided by the desire to inspire, serve, and create opportunities that will allow me to give back to my community in meaningful ways.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has not been easy. Being a young entrepreneur while balancing school, work, and multiple businesses has come with many challenges. Along the way, I experienced difficult seasons that included being influenced by the wrong crowd, getting into fights, spending time in jail, family trauma, friendship betrayals, and church hurt. There was even a period in my life when I became involved in prostitution because I was surrounded by people who made it seem normal and acceptable. At the time, I was searching for direction and acceptance, but deep down, I knew that lifestyle was not who I truly was.
Those experiences could have easily defined me, but I refused to let them determine my future. Instead, I chose to learn from every mistake, every setback, and every painful situation. Through tears, disappointment, and moments when I felt like giving up, I kept moving forward. Each challenge taught me valuable lessons about my worth, my purpose, and the importance of surrounding myself with the right people.
Through it all, I discovered that my struggles were not the end of my story—they became part of my testimony. They shaped my passion for helping others, inspiring people who feel stuck, and showing that your past does not have to dictate your future. Today, I am pursuing my career in journalism while building businesses in photography, hairstyling, candle making, and writing. Each business reflects my desire to use my gifts to serve others, build confidence, encourage healing, and make a positive impact.
My ultimate goal has never been just to create wealth. I want to create opportunities to give back, support my community, and one day open a homeless shelter. Everything I have overcome has strengthened my determination to turn my experiences into purpose and to help others realize that no matter where they have been, they can still build a better future.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kingdomcaptureco?
Kingdom Capture Co. is more than a photography business—it’s a brand built on faith, purpose, and helping people bring their vision to life. I officially launched Kingdom Capture Co. in October 2025 after spending time in prayer and seeking God’s direction. While serving in the media ministry at Truth Generation Church, I developed my skills and passion for visual storytelling. As opportunities began to open up and I started getting booked, I felt God leading me to take the next step and launch the business.
At Kingdom Capture Co., I specialize in capturing meaningful moments, personal brands, events, and creative visions through photography. My goal is not just to take pictures but to help people feel confident, seen, and valued. I believe every person has a story worth telling, and photography gives me the opportunity to help tell those stories through powerful images.
What sets me apart is that I bring more than photography to the table. I am a multi-entrepreneur, author, and visionary who understands the importance of building a brand and creating an experience. My clients are not just receiving photos—they are working with someone who genuinely cares about their vision and wants to see them succeed. I am known for being authentic, faith-driven, professional, and dedicated to helping others feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
One thing many people know me for is being “the church girl,” “the Christian photographer,” and “the go-getter.” I embrace those titles because they reflect who I am and the values that guide my business. My faith is the foundation of my brand, and I strive to operate with excellence, integrity, and purpose in everything I do.
What I am most proud of is building a brand that reflects my testimony. I’ve overcome challenges, setbacks, and obstacles throughout my life, but I never allowed those experiences to define me. Instead, they strengthened me and helped shape the vision behind my business. Kingdom Capture Co. represents growth, faith, resilience, and the belief that your story matters.
I want readers to know that Kingdom Capture Co. is not just about photography—it’s about creating an experience, building confidence, capturing purpose, and helping people see the beauty in their story. Whether I’m working with individuals, families, entrepreneurs, or organizations, my mission is to provide quality service while creating images that leave a lasting impact.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
One thing I wish I understood earlier in my entrepreneurial journey is who my true audience was. As I started out, I created from passion and purpose, but I didn’t yet have clarity on exactly who my work was meant to consistently serve. Looking back, I realize that understanding my target audience sooner would have helped me grow and scale much faster.
Over time, I’ve learned that not everyone is my customer, and that’s actually a strength, not a limitation. The more I’ve grown, the more I’ve been able to recognize my people—those who connect with my faith, my creativity, my storytelling, and the heart behind my brand.
Now I understand that clarity is a major part of success in business. Knowing your audience allows you to serve better, communicate better, and build with more intention. I’m still growing, but I’m now more focused, more intentional, and more aware of who I am called to reach.
