Today we’d like to introduce you to Anner J. Echols
Hi Anner J., so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started with my passion for fashion. I learned how to sew, design and re-design clothes after graduating from high-school. This was a skill and craft that I inherited from my mother who was a southern self-taught seamstress. My passion for fashion made it easy for me to live out my dream as a producer and fashion designer. I began showcasing my fashions and designs on stage with models that I trained, in order to promote and sale my designer fashions straight off the runway. One of my greatest desires was to give back by supporting and promoting worthy causes. This led me to start producing fashion and entertainment shows for non-profit organizations. Donating a portion of the funds from the fashion shows to the organizations. I understood that philanthropy is a must in any industry. The on-stage productions were always professional, high fashion, and entertaining. Entertainers who performed on The Dreamland Production stage were from all walks of life; Jazz artist, RB Singers, clean Rappers, dancers and musicians. The proof and the reality of my 30+ years of producing, publishing and designing can be seen on “The Walls of Dreams,” located at Dreamland Studios.
With 30+ years in the industry I took my many years of experience to another level, providing (IBM) career consultations to others who needed to know about the ends and out of starting a successful business. IBM is the acronym for Image, Branding, Management and Marketing. The consultations assist others to kick start their career, and start a successful business. I am now a Publicist, Producer, Choreographer Talent/Model Scout, and a Vocal coach for The Star Movement in Orlando, Florida.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are many challenges when you take on the responsibility of producing and publishing a magazine. This is especially true when you’re working in areas like marketing and promotions or securing sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
