Today we’d like to introduce you to Relly Rale.
Hi Relly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am Relly Rale and I run two websites. Rellyrale.blogspot.com which is an underground music blog that has been established for 13 years. We post music videos for artist who would like exposure daily from artist from around the nation. Hustlecortex.com which is a platform that showcases various forms of art such as hiphop, music production, soul, cinema, graphic design and various platforms/podcast. The goal of these platforms is to combine local artist from cities all over the globe on one platform that is catered to independent music. It was designed to be a catalyst for artists to spread their music further.
I am also a seasoned videographer with a passion for shooting music videos. I picked up a camera in 2011 to be a part of my friends journey’s of being musicians which then turned into a hobby and not to far after a passion. Ive worked with artist from all over the region and even on the east coast and have been involved with over 200 productions over the past 14 years. My cameras are my paint brush and I bring artist visions for their music to life to create art.
Now while assisting artist to gain further grassroot exposure, I have future plans to film some legends from throughout the region to tell the stories of how the underground music scenes came about.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have a passion for this project I am working on. Ive watched many artist work so hard for many years trying to get into an industry that for whatever reason didnt give them a chance. Because I have been involved with the underground music scene for over 20 years, I find it really unfortunate to have met so many talented artist who have only reached local popularity status but not ever gain a regional or national fanbase. The road has been smooth because my platform shares other peoples art and as a creator myself, it would makes me feel good when people share my work or I am featured on various platforms in various forms. This all comes from the heart and I want people to be heard.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
By trade I am an IT professional and i have been involved with the creation of music studio computers all around the tristate area. Ive done late night studio calls where there are important recording sessions but techical issues are the cause of the lack of progress, there are quite a few engineers that have me on speed dial to assist them with technical challenges. Ive shared knowledge with a lot of creators who have questions and need advice on tools needed to become digital artist whether its, music production or engineering, photography, videography and graphic design. I love to talk about technology so teaching becomes enjoyable.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Because Im in tech, there is a huge push in the direction of AI. People think Ai is all about irobots taking over, being disobedient and causing havoc but actually there are a lot of creative uses for AI such as automation and also resource generation to enhance and speed up creative processes. People should future-proof themselves by understanding how to leverage AI as a tool and not the enemy unless our sci-fi nightmares come true.
