Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharonda Lake.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
What began as a bracelet-making hobby has grown into a powerful mom and daughter small Black-owned business founded by Sharonda Lake and Ryleigh Williams.
At the age of 2, Ryleigh was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney cancer and treated at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. After being in remission for 5 years, we truly believe there’s a purpose for her life; hence the name “Purposed Creations”
We started out just with making bracelets. Now we’ve expanded our products to bracelets, shirts, hats, bags and more.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part it has been a smooth road but, as with any business, you have good days and bad. One of the biggest struggles has been learning to stay consistent and persistent during the slower seasons.

We offer handmade accessories and custom designed apparel. We are specifically known for our bead bracelets as well as t-shirt services for graduations, parties, family reunions and family vacations.
We take great pride in the quality of our items while also making it reasonably priced. Every item is handmade and intentionally created with love to help you elevate your style with purpose.
What sets us apart from others is our creativity and marketing strategy. We have our own personalized jingle, created by my husband JLake (songwriter/producer). We also host monthly giveaways as a token of appreciation for our customers.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey is not everyone will support you, however God will always place the right people in your life at the right time.
