Today we’d like to introduce you to Badd Dolly.
Hi Badd, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Badd Dolly and I hail from the humble beginnings of Yazoo City, MS. As a young girl I was always bold, outspoken, feisty, and not one to always fit in. From a young age, I’ve always known that I wanted to be a star, but I didn’t know to what capacity. I stood out in every way possible from my stylish looks, to my fierce and fiery attitude. In my earlier years, I expressed my love for art by becoming one of Jackson, Mississippi’s prized hairstylists, but I’ve always known I wanted more. I went from having my own successful beauty shop in the heart of Mississippi, to the television screen garnering millions of viewers. Now everybody knows Badd Dolly the artist, the reality tv star, and the beauty/fashion influencer!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a very hard road along the way. People that you love the most are the main people who don’t truly believe in you because they still see the version of what they want to see until you actually make it. Even if your family and friends see the superstar you are, they still won’t support the movement. Take that negative energy and learn from it because all of that goes along with making your story successful. You just have to keep believing in yourself and make sure you’re always putting one foot in front of the other and find people who really and truly believe in your grind. Social media is home to billions of people looking to support your movement. It’s just up to you to find them!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a reality tv star, music artist, and beauty & fashion influencer. I am most notably known for being one of the breakout stars of the Zeus Network’s Baddies series, where I have successfully completed 4 seasons of the show, which is one of urban television’s highest rated series. I started my reality television journey on NowThatsTv’s ”Pick-A-Side” television show alongside other notable reality television stars like Lil Scrappy and Khaotic.
Me becoming an artist was inevitable. I made my first song, Sponsor My Act Bad, before ever becoming famous. Since its release, the song has gained over 1 million streams, which is my first song to hit this accomplishment. Since I have released other successful hits like Fuh Dolly, Run Me That, Onnat, Like This Here, Baddie Christmas, and Fuh Dolly Remix Ft. Stunna Girl.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love that Houston feels like my home away from home! The food, the atmosphere, the culture is unmatched. Every time I’m out in public, everyone notices me, comes up to take pictures and just lets me know that I’m loved, inspiring, and supported. It’s always a breath of fresh air. The traffic is the worst!
