Today we’d like to introduce you to KJ.
Hi KJ, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey with Poze Productions began with a simple idea: I wanted to create opportunities for artists.
When I was coming into the music industry, it was extremely difficult for independent artists and musicians to get their music heard. There was no YouTube, Spotify, or the many digital platforms artists have access to today. If you didn’t have a record deal, getting your music distributed, getting radio airplay, or getting in front of industry professionals could be incredibly challenging.
I saw how many talented artists struggled simply because they didn’t have access to the right opportunities or connections. That stayed with me, and it became one of the main reasons I decided to build something of my own.
I founded Poze Productions and Poze Records with the vision of creating a place where artists could come together, showcase their talent, network with other artists and entertainment professionals, and have opportunities to gain exposure. I wanted Poze to be a platform where artists didn’t have to feel that they had to wait for a major record label to discover them before they could begin building their careers.
Over the years, that original idea continued to grow. What started as a vision to help artists has developed into a larger entertainment platform that includes Poze Magazine, Poze Radio, Poze TV, Poze Records, and the X-Poze-ing Music Awards, along with various promotional and networking opportunities for artists and entertainment professionals.
Poze Radio became especially important to that mission because I wanted independent artists to have a place where their music could actually be heard. We welcome music from all genres, and our goal is to give artists opportunities for exposure while connecting them with a broader audience.
Poze Magazine gave us another way to tell artists’ stories and showcase their accomplishments, while the X-Poze-ing Music Awards allowed us to recognize independent and emerging talent. As Poze continued to grow, I realized that we weren’t simply building individual businesses or platforms—we were building a community.
Today, I look at Poze Productions as an entertainment ecosystem built around artists, exposure, relationships, and opportunity. My goal has remained the same from the beginning: to help independent artists get noticed, connect with the right people, and have opportunities that might otherwise be difficult to find.
The journey has definitely evolved, and Poze has become much bigger than what I originally imagined. But at the center of everything is still that original belief: talented artists deserve a place to be heard.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. Building an entertainment company, especially one focused on independent artists, comes with a lot of challenges. There have been times when I had to figure things out as I went, make difficult decisions, and continue moving forward even when I wasn’t sure what the next step would be.
One of the biggest challenges has been getting people to understand the vision behind Poze. When you are building something that brings together different areas of the entertainment industry—music, radio, television, publishing, awards, promotion, and artist development—it takes time for people to understand how all of those pieces fit together.
The music industry has also changed dramatically over the years. What worked when I first started is not necessarily what works today. Technology, social media, streaming, and the way people discover music have completely changed the landscape. Instead of seeing those changes as obstacles, I learned that I had to adapt and continue finding new ways to create opportunities for artists.
There have also been challenges in building an audience, developing the right relationships, finding reliable people to work with, and managing the many different aspects of the business. There have been setbacks, disappointments, and moments when things didn’t go according to plan.
But those experiences have taught me some of the most important lessons about being an entrepreneur. I’ve learned to be patient, to listen, to adapt, and most importantly, not to give up on the vision just because the road becomes difficult.
Every challenge has helped shape Poze into what it is today. I don’t look at the difficult moments as failures. I look at them as part of the process that helped me learn how to build something that can continue to grow.
The road hasn’t been easy, but I believe that’s part of what makes the journey meaningful. **Poze Productions is still evolving, and I’m still learning, but the vision of creating opportunities for artists has never changed.**
As you know, we’re big fans of Business/Organization Name: Poze Productions. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Poze Productions is a multi-platform entertainment company built around one central mission: creating opportunities for artists and entertainment professionals to be seen, heard, connected, and supported.
What started with a desire to help independent artists gain the exposure and opportunities that were often difficult to find has grown into a much larger entertainment ecosystem. Today, Poze Productions encompasses Poze Magazine, Poze Radio, Poze TV, Poze Records, and the X-Poze-ing Music Awards, along with promotional, networking, media, and artist-focused opportunities.
Poze Magazine gives artists and entertainment professionals a platform to share their stories, careers, music, and accomplishments. Poze Radio provides independent artists with an opportunity to submit their music and gain radio exposure across our platform. Poze TV expands our reach into television and video entertainment, while Poze Records represents our connection to the music side of the industry. The X-Poze-ing Music Awards gives us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate independent and emerging talent.
What sets Poze apart is that we are not focused on just one part of the entertainment industry. We are creating a connected platform where artists can access multiple forms of exposure and connect with other artists, media professionals, industry executives, and entertainment businesses.
I am especially proud of how the Poze brand has evolved. We have continued to expand while keeping the artist at the center of what we do. We welcome different genres and different types of talent because we believe an artist shouldn’t have to fit into one particular box to deserve an opportunity.
More than anything, I want readers to understand that Poze Productions is about creating a place for independent talent to grow. Our goal is to provide platforms, connections, exposure, and opportunities that can help artists move their careers forward.
Poze started with an idea, but it has grown into a community and an entertainment platform with a much bigger vision for the future.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I have always believed that talent can come from anywhere, and an artist’s success shouldn’t depend solely on whether a major record label, executive, or gatekeeper decides to give them a chance. The industry has changed tremendously, and today artists have more tools available to them than ever before. But having the tools is only part of the journey. Artists also need community, connections, exposure, guidance, and people who genuinely believe in what they are doing.
That is what I want Poze to continue providing. My vision is for Poze to keep growing into a platform where artists and entertainment professionals can come together, build relationships, discover opportunities, and help one another succeed.
I’m proud of how far Poze has come, but I don’t look at what we’ve accomplished as the finish line. I see it as the foundation for what comes next. There are still many ideas I want to bring to life, and I want Poze to continue expanding its reach and creating opportunities for even more artists.
At the end of the day, this isn’t just about building a company. It’s about building something that can make a difference in someone’s career. If an artist can say that Poze helped them get heard, make an important connection, gain confidence, or take the next step in their career, then I know we’re doing what we set out to do.
