Hi Angela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved hosting and decorating for a party. Give me a theme, and I’m in my element! I love taking an idea and bringing all the little details together to create something special and memorable.
About three years ago, I planned and decorated my first event, and that’s really where it all started. From there, I expanded into holiday decorating and balloon design, and what began as something I simply loved doing grew into a business I’m incredibly proud of.
Today, Angela’s Events & Decor has become a one-stop shop for celebrations and events. We offer event planning and design, decor, custom signage, florals, balloons, holiday decorating, and so much more. I love being able to take a client’s vision, or sometimes just the beginning of an idea, and bring everything together from start to finish.
It’s been so much fun watching something I’ve always had a passion for grow into what it is today, and I’m excited to see where it takes us next!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any growing business, it hasn’t always been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to turn something I love doing creatively into a business and figuring out pricing, sourcing vendors, and learning just how much work happens behind the scenes of every event.
There’s also a lot of trial and error when you’re growing. I’ve learned what works, what doesn’t, and how important it is to be flexible because no matter how much you plan, events can always bring a few surprises!
But every challenge has helped me grow and become better at what I do. With each event, I’ve gained more experience, built relationships with wonderful clients and vendors, and become more confident in the direction I want to take the business. I’m still learning and growing, and I think that’s part of what makes the journey so exciting.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Angela’s Events & Decor, we specialize in taking an idea and bringing the entire vision to life. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for our clients by being a true one-stop shop for their event.
I’ve always loved a good theme, and I think that has become one of the things we’re known for. I love finding creative ways to carry a theme throughout an event, from the larger design elements all the way down to the smallest details. Whether it’s an intimate dinner, birthday celebration, corporate event, or holiday installation, I want everything to feel cohesive, thoughtful, and personal to the client.
What sets us apart is the level of detail and personal attention we put into each event. We don’t just decorate a space; we look at the entire experience. We can coordinate the planning, work with vendors, design the space, create the signage, arrange the florals, install the balloons, and then bring it all together on event day. Clients can come to us with a fully formed vision or simply an idea, and we can take it from there.
I’m most proud of how much the business has grown through relationships, referrals, and clients trusting us with their special occasions. We’re incredibly fortunate to have so many repeat clients who come back to us for their next celebration, and I think that continued trust is one of the greatest compliments we can receive. There’s something incredibly rewarding about standing in a finished space and seeing an idea that started as a conversation completely come to life. Even better is seeing our clients enjoy it. That’s the part I’m most proud of and what keeps me excited about what we do.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I would say attention to detail has been one of the most important qualities behind our success. I truly believe it’s the little things that can take an event from nice to memorable. I love looking at the entire picture while also focusing on those smaller details that make an event feel thoughtful and personal.
Just as important is listening to our clients. Every client and every event is different, and I want their personality and vision to come through rather than simply recreating something we’ve done before. Building those relationships, being dependable, and making sure our clients feel taken care of throughout the process has been incredibly important to me. I think the number of repeat clients and referrals we receive is a reflection of that.
