Meet Teniesha Anderson of She Planned It

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teniesha Anderson.

Hi Teniesha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started She Planned It in January 2024 because I wanted to inspire women to go after the goals they have for themselves. These are the dreams that exist alongside being a wife, a mother, and all the other roles we fill. As a wife, mother of two, and accounting professional, I understand how easily our own aspirations can move to the bottom of the list. I wanted to remind women, myself included, that those dreams deserve space in our lives, too.

That purpose became She Planned It, a planner and stationery brand that combines practical tools with beautiful designs. Through our planners, journals, inserts, and agenda covers, I want to help women make time for what matters to them and take real steps toward the things they dream about.

Service is also a big part of my story. I’m a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated; a volunteer of Girls That Glitter; a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity; and the Order of the Eastern Star. Volunteering, mentoring, and giving back fulfill me, and I love having opportunities to encourage others and contribute to my community.

Between family, my career, community involvement, and growing a business, I use the tools I create to help me stay on track, and they’re cute, which makes using them even better! She Planned It is rooted in the life I’m living and the belief that women can care deeply for others while still making room for themselves.

Since launching, I’ve continued to grow the product collection, connect with customers, and learn what it takes to intentionally build a business. I’m still growing, but the purpose remains the same: helping women give their own dreams a place on the calendar.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been finding the time and energy to grow She Planned It while working full time, being present for my family, and staying involved in the organizations and service work that mean so much to me. I’m encouraging women to make room for their dreams while also learning how to consistently make room for my own.

There’s also a lot that happens behind the scenes of a product-based business. Creating something beautiful is one part; figuring out pricing, managing inventory, marketing it, and making sure you can restock it takes a different kind of work. Some of my products are made in-house, while others involve overseas production, so I have to plan around very different turnaround times.

Another challenge has been learning how to communicate the purpose behind the products. I know why I created She Planned It, but helping someone see how a planner or journal can fit into their life takes connection and consistency.

I’m still learning how to balance the creative side with the business side and give myself grace in the process. My accounting background gives me a strong foundation, but building a brand continues to stretch me. This journey is teaching me to be patient with growth, pay attention to what my customers need, and keep making room for the dream that led me to start.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about She Planned It?
She Planned It is a planner and stationery brand I founded to help women make room for their own goals while managing the many responsibilities in their lives. We offer handmade and customizable planners, planner inserts, goals journals, and leather agenda covers that bring together practical organization and personal style. I love creating tools that help you stay on track and that you’re excited to pull out of your bag!

We specialize in planning options that fit different needs. Some women want the structure of dated daily pages, while others need the flexibility of an undated planner or a dedicated space to work through their goals and budgets. Our custom planners give customers an opportunity to choose something that better fits how they plan, and our Timeless Collection of leather agenda covers offers a beautiful, reusable home for their inserts.

What sets She Planned It apart is the woman I have in mind when I’m creating. She has responsibilities, people depending on her, and a full calendar. But she also has ideas and dreams she wants to pursue. I want our products to help her give those goals time and attention. That purpose comes from my own experience balancing marriage, motherhood, a career, community service, and entrepreneurship. I use these tools in my own life, so their usefulness matters just as much to me as their appearance.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of building something with a purpose that feels true to who I am and something that women are beginning to connect with. Encouraging women is at the center of She Planned It, and I get to express that through my creativity and love for organization.

I want readers to know that they don’t have to have everything figured out to begin planning for themselves. Whether you’re starting a business, going back to school, making time for a creative interest, or simply trying to follow through on a personal goal, that deserves space in your life. My hope is that She Planned It helps you turn “one day” into a next step.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My family is everything to me. Some of my happiest moments are the everyday ones with my husband, Daryl Jr. and our two boys Daryl III and Noah, laughing together, spending time together, and watching our children grow into their own personalities. I love what I’m building, but sharing life with them means so much to me.

I also find joy in being in community with other women. Whether we’re volunteering, encouraging each other, working toward a goal, or just having a good conversation, I love the connection that comes from feeling seen and understood. There’s something special about being around women who make room for you to be yourself and who want to see you grow. Being able to offer that same support to someone else makes me happy, too.
