Meet Dennis and Chikita Higgs of iHustle Cleaning Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dennis and Chikita Higgs.

Hi Dennis and Chikita, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Chikita Jefferson-Higgs. My husband Dennis Higgs and I started our business 3 years ago and it is blossoming every day. Our business is iHustle Cleaning Services. We clean commercial and residential. September 17 2019 was the day our lives changed.

My husband always had the entrepreneur mindset since 2008 when he started his first custom T-shirt business. We have been married for 3 years and together 5 years. During that time, I also decided to become an entrepreneur and become my own boss.

My husband and I have always seen the bigger picture in things if it was from me modeling going on 8 years now, starting all our businesses: iHustle cleaning services: “One Call Cleans It All”, All Day Prints: custom T-shirts, Chi-Chi Boutique 901: Women’s clothing and accessories, and Chikita’s Notary and iHustle Management Group helping models find out were to start there modeling career and figure what type of modeling they want to do.

Our mindset has always been being entrepreneurs and helping people whichever way we can. There have been some ups and downs but we kept going. If you believe in something keep going and don’t stop until you make it happen.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been an easy road. We have dealt with all types of people we thought would still be with us in the long run. But alot if time people just be around you to see what they can get out of the situation.

We both had to learn that the hard way. No matter the problems we have come across we still kept moving forward no matter the heartbreaks, no matter the less support we had in our journey we still kept going.

We’ve been impressed with iHustle Cleaning Services, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We have so many businesses but iHustle Cleaning Services is our bread and butter. We have been in it for 3 years and we love it. Sometimes my husband and I always say why didn’t think of this sooner. Our business is your trusted family-owned 5-star Commercial and Residential cleaning service ready to serve your home, office, or business today.

We have said we always wanted to do something better and change the cycle of always working a regular job and to one day have a multi-million dollar company that our kids and grandkids can one day own and don’t have to worry about a thing. We both grew up in a middle-class home where whatever our parents did for us we were happy about it because our parents work every day of their lives taking care of family no matter the hiccups here and there. As kids, you think about how your life is going to be when you grow you think about the possibilities of being a doctor, a nurse, or a fireman, etc.

My husband and I always wanted to do something different with our lives instead of working a regular job every day and just spending the money on bills and not being able to do anything for ourselves. Having an entrepreneur mindset can help you set goals for your life and be able to make things better in your life. It may be hard at first but everything takes time you just have to always think positive and believe in God.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being able to make people smile. Knowing their home and the building are cleaned with good hearts by a family-owned business.
