Hidden Gems: Meet Nicole Moss

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Moss.

Hi Nicole, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I did not intentionally start my business on purpose. However, I found something I enjoyed doing and the people wanted more. I didn’t think I would be a businesswoman owning a growing business that specializes in luxury treats & cakes.

It all started trying to find something for me and my little sister to bond over by making cake pops & dipped strawberries for fun. Then BOOM! My peers hyped me up and that’s how Lucky’s Sweet Treats came about. I originally started my business in Murfreesboro, TN in 2020. I relocated to Memphis, TN in August 2021.

I am excited to see what this journey will bring for me & my family starting from the ground and building up.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to owning a business is tedious. The journey for me has been difficult starting over gaining new consumers. However, I always count my small wins if I get 8 orders that’s a win even if I get 1 order that’s a win.

The goal is to stay encouraged & reach the potential to have an overflow. I tell myself daily don’t give up have grace for myself and have patience. I left Murfreesboro with 85 customers. I am hoping to triple that number here in Memphis.

As you know, we’re big fans of Lucky Sweet Treats. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Lucky Sweet Treats is the key component for occasions. My business specializes in dipped fruit & baked goods. My business gives a luxury experience of expressing love & happiness. What set Lucky Sweet Treats apart is the professionalism, presentation, and flavor of my items.

How do you think about luck?
Honestly, being a business owner you are taking risks at all times. I am favored to sum it up. “Hustle hard ain’t no such thing as luck”- Dolph.
