Hi Christian, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Celia Newman and I met on Instagram. I was having an event in Memphis and reached out to her to come speak to my participants. Unfortunately, she couldn’t make it to the event but we kept in touch and formed a friendship and business relationship. During the pandemic, we decided to start an athlete consulting business and we formed UpNext Sports Consulting Firm. Over the past two years, between Celia being in Memphis and I in Dallas, TX we have acquired clients and helped athletes across the United States!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road thus far. We both were indecisive about starting the business at the time of the pandemic because we did not know the future of sports at the time. We struggled on how to generate income and reach our target audience.

We also assist athletic organizations with strategic planning and implementing our expertise to help them run successful events and showcases. We have worked with clients across the spectrum, including professional sports leagues, sports teams, media partners, content distributors, promoters, venue operators, service providers and investors. We offer public relations, marketing/branding, overseas placement, athlete consulting, recruiting assistance, and sporting event operations.
UpNext Sports Consulting Firm is based in Memphis, TN and extends to Dallas Fort Worth area. Our firm brings over 10 years of experience working directly with athletes as well as marketing and sales expertise to not only provide the best and most professional advice but also put our client’s needs and goals first.
