Today we’d like to introduce you to Dalia Amine.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am pleased to tell you a small part about my scientific and practical life.
I work mainly as a tourist guide and archaeological researcher. I obtained a master’s and a doctorate in tourism guidance from one of the Egyptian public universities.
I was awarded the title of the best tour guide in Egypt and North Africa in 2020, from WFTGA and Alexandria University and Fayoum University 2021, respectively, member of the Union of Arab Archaeologists, head of the Egypt office of the Afro-Asian Union of the Organization of African and Asian Peoples.
I teach at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for students of the Department of Tourist Guidance.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing happens with absolute ease, but perseverance and seeking the help of God to achieve the dream with hard work is what makes the difficult easy.
Although there are strong challenges and competitions to get a certain title or stay ahead, there is another challenge, especially if you have a family and children, that is a strong challenge for a working woman in Egypt, she must strike a balance between success at work and maintaining the family and raising children in a good way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Working as a tour guide or as an archaeological researcher is a very interesting profession.
You often meet people from all over the world every day, learn about different cultures, and most importantly learn how to suit all tastes and deal with them in a way that makes everyone who comes to your country happy and spends a beautiful vacation leaving Zakraiat Good, in the field of teaching and training, you, as a lecturer, must be a good example for those students who learn from your hands and write the lines of their future.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
The whole world is in constant progress, and technology is one of the most important education and knowledge today.
Therefore, I follow everything new on social networking sites Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others, in addition to educating by reading historical, astronomical, economic, religious, and social books, and others because the tour guide or a person who works with civil society organizations must be a mobile encyclopedia.
I have membership in an academic journal, the American Cultural Center, and the Union of Arab Archaeologists, and I always participate in scientific research and conferences.
