Today we’d like to introduce you to Latonya Binion.
Hi Latonya, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Working as an Educator for 9 years, I knew my passion and purpose in life was to help people and give back to the community. Teaching children have always been a strong passion of mine, therefore, I wanted to bring that same love and care to senior care. I have such a huge heart for people and love to help in any way I possibly can.
My mother has always been my inspiration and motivator she is one of the main reasons for my success in healthcare. Watching my mother take care of the elderly for 30 years plus and seeing her drive and love I knew this was a legacy that I wanted to continue to carry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building a business is no small feat. It was never a smooth road until today our company still face problems especially in this time of pandemic where we need to be extra careful since our patients are immuno-compromised. But with the help of my family, friends, and mentor facing and fixing those problems makes it easier for me and my company.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Home in the Heart, we believe that the highest quality senior care can only be delivered by professionals who feel cared for, themselves. We work hard every day to create better jobs for our care team members.
As part of the growing company, our team members are offered opportunities to advance in their careers, empowered to build meaningful relationships, and given the opportunity to make a powerful impact in communities. We specialize in providing exceptional care to seniors whether they’re living in their homes or facilities.
In-home in the heart, you get both customized services at reasonable prices. Some of the services that we offer are 24-hour live-in care, around clock support. Hospital avoidance programs and many more.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grew surrounded by my family and friends who helped me grow to be free-spirited ad humble. My family and friends are the same people who gave me an interest in reading, dancing, and love to help others. And it totally helped me to be the woman I am today.
