Today we’d like to introduce you to Showtime Arnett.
Hello Showtime Arnett, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Started as a ball boy for the Indiana Pacers when I was in 8th grade and met Reggie Miller. I did an internship with the Indiana pacers in college at IUPUI located in downtown Indianapolis.
The internship gave me insight to network with people like Larry Bird, Donnie Walsh, Quinn Buckner, Darnell Hillman, and Tamicka Catching’s. I have relationships with these people and I’m humbled and honored behind this. After starting my media company Showtime Arnett Sports Talk.
I was able to travel the world and encounter great things under my business. The pacers gave me the opportunity to work with them and have a chance to work with the Indiana fever as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The struggle is trying to find a niche for your business if you don’t have one.
I have a motto, slogan, and niche for my sports talk. I would say some of the struggles are networking with people who are bad for business. Scammers are the worst when you own your business. You get people from everywhere trying to sell you something or partner with them on a deal or partnership.
Most of the struggles come from paperwork and miscommunication. You have to master listening and also understand what position you’re in! The struggles are real in business. Each day brings a challenge or obstacle you have to encounter, and the best solution is problem-solving.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I think I’m known for SHOWTIME ARNETT SPORTS TALK.
The whole city of Indianapolis knows my name because I cover all events. I cover the Pacers, Fever, Colts, my high school North Central Panthers where “Eric Gordon,” Jason Gardner, and WNBA champion Amber Harris all attended North Central. I also cover little league football and basketball.
I like to establish all athletes of all ages. I cover Semi-Pro Football here in Indianapolis. Marion County Crusaders and Indiana Tornados are just a few teams I cover.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
One of the major networks is going to sign my show to a BIG contract because I have my own sports studio to film and everything. I’m also an NBA Marketing Agent with two clients Kevin Easley Jr., and Robert Fry II.
I’m going to get my WNBA contract license and that’s going to ad to my Marketing side because then I can do both contract and endorsement for my future WNBA clients.
