Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Winstead.
Hi Matthew, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Been doing music for over 2 decades. Lived in Bartlett for a while after I got out of boarding school as a teen. I have done music with a lot of Memphis legends Project Pat, Lachat, Frayser Boy, Lil Wyte, DJ Zirk, Lil Noid, and more.
Last year, I started my clothing brand “Coast Goat” it’s been supported by a few celebrities Jorge Masvidal, Young Bleed, Grove Hero, Dax, and many more. It’s a very exclusive brand that everybody who has seen it loves it. I recently started managing a trending artist that has over 1.1 million followers on Instagram.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had friends go to jail for life; friends die from drugs, car wrecks, suicide, murder, drowning, and cancer. I took all that pain and put it into a lot of my music.
They are my motivation to be better with anything I do.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I would say my hustle and networking skills set me apart from many people.
I have negotiated with the best of me and always get better outcomes than most would get. I’m most known for my music but it’s changing to my brand it’s really doing well.
My old lady just got 2 printers and now we put my brand on everything so look out for “Coast Goat” merch everywhere.
What matters most to you?
My kids. Before I had my 1st son I was doing alot of wild stuff I shouldn’t have been doing. It was only a matter of time before I was dead or in jail. They saved me from self-destruction an I owe them everything. So family matters most.
