Meet Cammeron J. Ficklin of Notoriety Music Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cammeron J. Ficklin.

Hi Cammeron, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It’s a bit of a cliche, but I started as just a young boy with dreams and visions bigger than the environment I was around.

I didn’t always fit in because of that, my interests and hobbies were not the typical things a young black boy was into. However, I had to stay true to who I was. I had to persevere because I wanted more for myself. I knew there was more for me than what I was experiencing at that time.

A word of advice my mentor Chris O’ conner gave me was, “never stop asking questions.” Successful individuals began entering my aura and because I am a curious person and I like to ask questions, I began taking those opportunities to do just that. I became hungry for knowledge and understanding.

I had a goal in mind and I used what I had to get what I wanted. I worked hard, sacrificed, put my team before myself, and continued to push forward from there.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Life happens and tries to set you back, but you have to roll with the punches and adjust as needed with the effort of keeping a positive mindset. There have been a lot of ups and downs, which is part of the process.

We’ve been impressed with Notoriety Music Group, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Notoriety Music Group is a privately-held music publishing company that focuses on Publishing Administration, Distribution, and Artist Management

You should know that our catalog was able to generate a total of 2 million streams in just a year. Crediting our artist; Son.person, The Prophet Najee, and AriDigs. I consider myself a publisher but, wear many hats to continuously bring awareness to Notoriety Music Group and our collective group of Songwriters and performers. I specialize in business management and digital marketing.

I am mostly known for my work ethic. I am most proud of my team and their dedication to trusting the vision and continuing to push each other to become the best version of ourselves

What do you think about luck?
I am not one to believe in good luck or bad luck. I am a firm believer in you reap what you sow.

Therefore, whatever you put into the earth you get out of the earth, whether good or bad. Positive and negative things will happen regardless, but it is how you respond that dictates your position in life.
