Today we’d like to introduce you to Niy’lah Harrison.
Hi Niy’lah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Glossed Lippies by Niy’lah started off as a small vision inside of me. I thought about just making some lipglosses that I could enjoy myself, and good enough to share with my friends.
Then, after careful consideration and a little determination, I thought about what girls want. I wanted to help girls pamper themselves with small things. I sell lipgloss, press-on nails, jewelry, hair bonnets, etc. it’s really anything a young girl could want.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been easy. In the beginning, it was trying to get my brand and my name out there. Like being customers in. However, my daily struggles are trying to make customers continue to shop and return to me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business was created by me and my mom. I wanted to be a one-stop-shop for girls. I want to be able to bring a girl in and transform her beauty. My brand is to beautify what is already beautiful and perfect.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
If I had anything to give the next business entrepreneur is to always market yourself and never give up.
