Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenitra Mounger.
Hi Kenitra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always loved to read and write. So one day, I wanted to turn my love for the two into a blog. I wanted to get people to people back into reading. I feel like we spend so much time on social media might as well try to get them to open up a book and read again.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not I wanted to give up so many times. But then, I will get an email from an author asking me to read their book. Or I will get a message from someone saying they read my blog and I convinced them to read this book.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a blogger. Mostly about books but travel sometimes and makeup and personal blog post as well.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wish I had a mentor or a team reading all of these books can be a lot at times.
But if I had to give credit to someone for giving me the confidence to start my blog, it would be my Sissy Pooh Nakara White. She had the most faith in me when I didn’t have it in myself to start.
