Today we’d like to introduce you to Keisha Hall.
Hi Keisha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started years ago dabbling here or there in nail art. Art has always been a passion of mine. And what better way to express yourself than in nail art. I was working for the government and my work hours weren’t aligning with my “me” time.
My “me” time is when I unwind and have self-care. One thing I enjoyed doing was getting my nails done, but I could barely make it to a nail shop to get them done. So, one morning I was headed home from my government job and was dozing off literally down the street from my house.
At that moment I had enough and my better half said, quit and find you a school to pursue what you want to do. And I did just that and went to the Tennessee Academy of Cosmetology. I’ve been doing nails for now over 10+ years.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I definitely wouldn’t say the road has been smooth. There’s been a few bumps in the road. Especially from me testing the waters and working in my first shop.
It was not the best experience, but it did teach me some of the ins & outs of the beauty industry. That experience let me know different personalities and goals can clash.

I am a one-woman team. I am a nail care specialist. I specialize in establishing and maintaining healthy nails, I also specialize in creating art on the hands. I take an empty canvas and transform it into a work of art.
What sets me apart I have been told is my knowledge, creativity, one on one atmosphere, and not treating my clients as another number or an assembly line. I am proud brand-wise with my continuance of building a rapport with my clients and future clients.
Also, I continue to bring in-depth knowledge to the table and give my clients the best experience. You too should want the Chelle the Nail Goddess experience it’s unmatched.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting?
I would say to anybody starting in the beauty industry gain all the knowledge they can. Continue to build your knowledge and never think you know it all.
I learn new things daily and love soaking up new knowledge and techniques. Invest, invest in yourself and your brand. I wish I knew that it would be so difficult to build clientele when I first started. I just knew everybody would flock to get their nails done.
But, I would say continue pushing your brand, even if you get one like or share on social media. Don’t let that deter you continue to push forward, because there are plenty of people watching even when you don’t realize it.
