Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrence Springfield.
Hi Terrence, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2018 I was an operating manager for Direct TV. I met this guy while servicing his home for technical problems. He was the owner of a fence company. I ask him to show me how it was done.
We work together between me managing a team of cable guys. Then Covid hit us in 2020. I lost my job., at the same time, my wife had a stroke that same year. I started drawing unemployment for like 6 months trying to get back on our feet. A relative heard about me doing fencing and hired me to do my first fence job.
God allowed me to do a great job. I stayed under Vincent’s teaching for years until it’s wasn’t much I didn’t know. My wife ended up being on dialysis three days a week, which didn’t allow me to work a traditional job anymore. We started Springfiorward fencing and Security Inc. It took off with a lot of prayers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The first year we started, we got a hundred signs made and flooded the city. We got some calls and many times, we almost gave up. The only reason that we didn’t quit., was because we were out of options. This had to work.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We love to give customers more than they paid for. It’s nothing like seeing a customer’s vision come to life. Our model is quality over quantity. We value our customers because they could have chosen any other company. What sets us apart is the time we spend learning about our customers personally. We love fencing of all kinds, most people love our privacy wood fence.
What matters most to you? Why?
Health. So many of us take our health for granted until something life-changing happens, and our health becomes at risk. Being here for my family and friend and being able to hire team members to take care of their families.
