Today we’d like to introduce you to The Crew Memphis. Them and their team share their story with us below:
The Crew is composed of three couples, Ty and Tamera, Eldridge and Karen, and Donell and Nikki. To say that it’s sometimes difficult for groups of people to be on the same page when it comes to what’s fun and enjoyable is an understatement, but after socializing both locally in Memphis and out of town, we quickly found that all of us expected high quality experiences. Whether it’s an Airbnb/hotel, a restaurant, or an entertainment venue, our goal is always to create lasting memories. After we had had gone on so many vacations together, it dawned on us that we’ve documented so many of our experiences, and social media followers had stopped us so many times in real life to tell us how much they’d love to hang with us, we knew that we had been influencers the whole time, the only thing we had to add was the review piece to the puzzle. Individually, we are all respected in our career fields, so when people see our reviews, they know that they are honest and thorough.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The crew’s connection is organic, but there are definitely disagreements. Since we consider ourselves truly “family”, we quickly dissolve our differences and everyone has their own role within the group. Members of The Crew each have their own unique nickname. Tamera is known as “The Diva” and she is all things “glam” as she is The Crew’s decorator and mastermind behind our themes. She for sure is the spice of The Crew. Ty, aka “The Visionary”, will always always be thinking of ways to expand experiences and opportunities for The Crew.
Eldridge is “The Peacemaker”, and is the voice of reason. He calms us down when things get spicy. Karen is “The Boss”, and she is the cook of The Crew and she is not afraid to say what’s on her mind. Nikki is “The Executor” who makes sure all plans are well thought out, organized, and excellent. And last but not least, Donell is known as “The Plug” usually getting The Crew “VIP” access on many of our excursions.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The Crew’s careers range from an Event Planner to Educational Leaders and Corporate Managers, etc. Everyone in The Crew is a professional and our careers coincide with our roles within The Crew. The bond we share is what helps us get through hectic weeks because we are always looking forward to the next time we connect. With so much stress in life, it’s a blessing to have friends that are more like family to decompress with and make an entire business out of it, authentically.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
We are undoubtedly the biggest fans of each other! The strength of our relationships is what keeps us going. Our social media followers are always stopping us and asking, “What’s the next Crew event?” and that motivates us to continue to do what we do. Another passion that we all share is giving back to our community and we’re looking forward to doing more of that especially during the holiday season. A special thank you to everyone who finds joy in our joy and who may have discovered a new travel destination, brunch or dinner spot, or an incredible live music lounge from a review we’ve done.
