Meet Keneesha Williams of Southeast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keneesha Williams.

Hi Keneesha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always admired the girls with great eyebrows. I used to always go to my local nail salon and have them wax my eyebrows, and they never came out how I liked. At that point, I thought to myself. I will go to the MAC counter and have them teach me how to do my eyebrows. When I went, the young lady showed me how to do my entire face, which was my first time wearing makeup of any kind. So from that moment in 2016, I began studying the makeup of all types and shades. Unlike ordinary people, I began by playing with colorful makeup. Once I started feeling better about myself, I thought I would love to make others feel that way, and that’s where it began.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was not a smooth road to transition from corporate America to the beauty industry. I’m a mother of 3 with finding out one kid has a disability, and another kid is overcoming seizures. If it weren’t for them, I would’ve never pushed myself into the beauty industry. Being in the beauty industry helped me create my schedule to be more attentive to their lives. I could take them to all the doctor’s appointments they needed to go to and school events.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Licensed Esthetician with a primary focus on Professional Makeup. I specialize in more of a creative style of making, and that’s what I’m known for. I’m known for my creative style in makeup. I’m most proud of my ability to be flexible in my craft. I love working with all different skin tones and styles of makeup. I love the look on people’s faces when they see the finished product. What sets me apart is I listen to what my clients and they know they can depend on me for anything. I make them feel comfortable knowing I’m dependable. My customer service is always my number 1 priority. When you’re in my chair, it’s sometimes like a therapy session, it can be relaxing, or we talk and laugh. I love building connections with all my clients.

Had we love to hear about any fond memories you have from growing up?
I was spending time with my grandma. She was the sweetest person I’ve ever known. She was always there to help and share her love with others. I loved spending time with my grandma and helping her do whatever she needed help with.
