Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Sammons.
Hi Michele, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
First, I am a southern girl who loves my flower garden, flip-flops, and Jimmy Buffett concert. I need coffee (lots of it) to get going in the morning. I have a gypsy soul that gets itchy feet when I stay in one place too long. When I am home, you can find me hibernating with my husband and my dog.
I am also an author, intuitive teacher, and highly-attuned guide who works with clients worldwide, helping them transform their lives. As an empath and intuitive, I use a light-hearted, joyful approach to embrace my clients right where they are on their spiritual path and gently guide them to personal clarity and understanding. I’m passionate about working with Spirit to uplift others while spreading love and joy.
Like a lot of folks, my spiritual path hasn’t been a straight shot, no fast-lane driving for me! Instead, my spiritual life has been more of a winding lane with speed bumps, stops and starts, and detours. Growing up, I never knew I was intuitive. I wasn’t one of those children who saw angels or had prophetic dreams. But, I was curious and spent most of my time wondering about God, my purpose, and what it all means. After exploring many traditional religions, I began to feel a strong call toward spirituality in my mid-thirties. This pull toward my calling didn’t happen immediately, but the Universe is patient and waits for readiness and willingness. Eventually, I began working with clients—quietly at first, not making a big fuss about it and gradually, word began to spread.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My path hasn’t been super smooth sailing. For years, I resisted my true calling because I was afraid. In my mid-thirties, I was aware of a hole in my life. For the most part, I was satisfied—a loving husband, prosperous business, exotic vacations, but I couldn’t shake the feeling something was missing I couldn’t quite name. I began asking big questions, “What’s my purpose, why am I here, what does it all mean?” These questions haunted me. I needed answers. I couldn’t stop myself from searching because something was calling to me. So, I began seeking—teachers, workshops, books, anything I could think of that I thought might help.
What I finally realized is that the answers I wanted were within and that’s when I started listening to my intuition. Paying close attention to my own inner wisdom and guidance which showed me the path to a deep sense of happiness. Not perfect, but happy anyway. Not finished, but still happy. Not nauseatingly bubbly, but happy nonetheless. Happy at my core, the feeling runs so deep and true that when I turn my attention in that direction, I can be carried away by its powerful stream. I began looking at my life from a new perspective. I made the shift by relaxing into happiness. I changed my mind and, in turn, changed my life. Change from the inside out. Do I ever forget that my happiness is a choice? Sure. Sometimes I get swept away by bad news and challenging days. It’s part of being human. It’s part of living life in this world. But now I know that happiness (the deep down kind) is a real option. It just takes some practice, a lot of self-compassion, and a little bit of patience. And it is oh so worth it!
