Rising Stars: Meet Eric Henderson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Henderson.

Eric, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
All my life and at the start I have been an entertainer in Memphis. Even before I started formally educating, I had put together my “act.” And dancing (organized movement) was my calling card. My natural talent/skills were nurtured and brought to fruition through activities and programs at Memphis City Schools (CLUE), Memphis Parks&Rec (Children’s Theater), Overton High School (CAPA), Libertyland Theme Park, Mid-South Fair (Youth Talent Competition).

Which led to a stellar 10-year career in Hollywood/LA working with Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Paula Abdul, Debbie Allen, Eddie Murphy, and most notably Janet Jackson. From there I embarked on an almost 30-year odyssey with God to have my own business. And after college matriculation for the last 7 years, I AM now a business management graduate and Creator/OpOwn/MajorManagerial at America’s first-ever for-profit Civil Rights Business, BLACK.NATIONALCivilRightsMovementMLK24, LLC/B.B

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, not! I have endured pretty much every struggle you could encounter, lol. Homelessness, racism, ageism, sexism, poverty, religious admonishment, sexuality prejudice, and plain old HueMan meanness, cruelty, and bashing as the world has grown to be an ever more harsh place to live.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have brought to bear a myriad of different work experiences (barista, tax preparer, in-store display merchandising, dance instructor) to fashion a business that is human protectionist (prevention of HueMan UnHappy Making), activistic operational (legacy life work successor of 60’s civil rights movement), and a creationar’E’ ideation corp. (most notably, a bizness in the business of creating/building black.biznesses.
