Meet Emily Neal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Neal.

Hi Emily, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I took a photography class in high school and decided I wanted to try it out, so my parents got me a camera for graduation and I took some photos for friends and family. Then, I went to work for a school for a few years, and in 2020, I launched my business full-time and never looked back.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a hard road to get here. Owning a small business is hard in itself, but building a client base, learning all the ropes and how to do everything right technically on camera, and figuring out my own editing style has been a journey.

When I started wanting to shoot weddings I had no experience at all but one of my photographer friends let me tag along with her to some weddings and it grew from there.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in wedding and couple photography. I started out shooting everything from families, babies, seniors, etc. and then I found my niche which is definitely wedding photography. I love spending the most special day of the couple’s lives with them and being a part of the process.

I would say my personality and laid-back style sets me apart from others. I work hard and give my all in every project that I take on, but I am very fun-loving and easy to work with. My main goal is to make my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera and comfortable around me as well.

My editing style is true color with a little bit of boldness and that is what I love the most!
