Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Lydia Norwood.
Hi Patricia Lydia, can you introduce yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve loved fashion and being creative. I would change my outfit three times a day. As I got older, my love for fashion grew, and I became a model to show off other people’s clothing and fashion lines. I didn’t stop there; I created a custom apparel business called Royal Apparel and Company to bring people’s ideas for their clothing to life. Today, I still love to model and showcase clothing lines/boutiques and create new and custom apparel for others!
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has sometimes been challenging. When starting a business, many mistakes and obstacles may hinder you from achieving your goal. There will be doors that close, but God always opens bigger ones.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a model and a business owner. I’m most proud of my accomplishments and determination not to give up. I do what I do for my children, clients, and other women/little girls who dream of becoming successful in fashion. What sets me apart from others is I will always find a new way to succeed; I know that I have to turn my “dream” into a “goal” because as long as you call it a dream, you may sleep on it too long, so make it a goal!
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is when you aim for something and achieve it the way you imagined it or even more significant than your purpose for your goal.
