My story concerns transformation, resilience, and a deep love for Memphis and animals’ well-being. As a former high school special education teacher with over three decades of experience, my journey into entrepreneurship was not without its challenges. Transitioning from the world of education to the realm of business, especially one centered around CBD products for pets, presented a steep learning curve. However, armed with determination and guided by my passion, I turned her dream into reality with the birth of Woof and Whiskers CBD.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The obstacles were numerous, from navigating the complexities of starting a new business to understanding the nuances of CBD products. Yet, with the unwavering support of her family, including her cousin Dr. Angie Zinkus DVM, and the encouragement of her children and Memphis community, Lisa forged ahead. Her experiences working at a dispensary in Muskegon, Michigan, and managing a CBD store in Grand Rapids provided invaluable insights into the potential benefits of CBD for both humans and animals.
