Today we’d like to introduce you to Serhat Gedik.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
I was an active DJ for 21 years (Now only doing selected gigs), and while DJing 7 days a week for at least 6 months of a year and doing the weekends in winter, I was also making many connections within the music industry. I was a DJ and have been producing music for 10 years. When I decided to run a promo campaign for one of my upcoming releases at the time, the prices that had been thrown my way shook my soul out of my body for a split second. It was at that time I decided to establish “Diverse Beats.” We started helping musicians at very affordable prices and still maintain that philosophy.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been as smooth as it could have been. The one problem we had and still come across sometimes is the artists’ budgets and their phobia of “Music Promotion” Companies. We understand that there are a lot of charlatans out there who are doing wrong towards artists and scamming them at specific points. However, that’s precisely why we post our note-worthy results on our social media accounts, i.e., Instagram, X, Facebook, and Linkedin. This way, we can establish a “Trust” orientated connection with the artists willing to work with us. We are not fans of too much talk, but we are on the side of showing results, which makes the onboarding process easier for both sides.

My mom showed “More Kante – Yeke Yeke” on our TV when I was 6. I knew back then that I wanted to be involved in anything to do with music 🙂
