Today we’d like to introduce you to Martye Hickman Jr
Hi Martye, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
With SavaThaFlava there has been a lot of ups and downs. I started cooking at home and amongst friends, later during Covid, I started selling seasonings in my hometown of Mississippi. One thing that’s always stuck out about my food was the flavor. I put most of my effort into the flavor side of the seasonings I handcraft right in my kitchen! As far as marketing and labels even to sealing, I do all of that myself as well. Recently I moved to Memphis, TN to get married and expand my company. Now I’m selling my handcrafted seasonings from the bottom of Mississippi up through the top of Tennessee. I’ve even gained customers in Canada as well as Colorado and Georgia! This is still just the beginning for the SavaThaFlava Empire! I’m in no rush or race to finish my list either !
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles along the way I’d have to say were fake orders, yet I always end up selling them. I would say lack of support from my birth place in a town of Mississippi, but one city can’t determine my success. Everyone is not going to like you and/or your product! I don’t think it’s even suppose to be like that honestly.
We’ve been impressed with SavaThaFlava LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
You should know that SavaThaFlava is one of the most exclusive best tasting flavorful seasonings on the market! Delivered directly from my warehouse. As of now consumers order through a network of people or either via email and or our company phone number. I specialize in flavor for sure! What sets me apart from other seasoning makers is the unique taste and vibrant spices and herbs used to formulate each flavor. I am know for a lot of things but sloppy work is not one of them.
