Hi Trameciea, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello. My name is Trameciea White and I am the founder and owner of Beautree Essentials. Beautree Essentials came about as idea during Covid when nurses where praised for being essential workers. I thought to myself why did such a devastating moment in history take for us to be recognized for the things that we have been doing for decades. Nurses are the lifeline to the healthcare field because we spend the most time with patients and their families at their most vulnerable moments and even grow to build bonds with a few. I wanted to provide those in healthcare with something that made them feel essential at all times and that’s when I came up with the idea of a scrub line that fits us. Beautree Essentials provides medical apparel that is not only comfortable, but affordable. Our scrubs at only $65 which includes both the top and the bottom as a complete set. These scrubs come in a variation of styles, sizes and colors to choose from.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road being a new business owner because I had to learn everything on my own. This includes coming up with a business name, securing a reliable vendor, learning the ins and outs of business laws and etc. Some days sales are high and others there are zero sales, but not once have I thought about giving up.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have been a registered nurse for 8 years specializing in critical care and neuro ICU. Nursing is my passion and although it can get tough I would not have chosen a better career path. There is nothing like seeing someone’s health improve over time especially those that were doubted to make it out the hospital.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
What I learned the most during the Covid 19 crisis is to love on your friends and family while they are here. So many patients had to die alone because hospitals were not allowing families to be present while their loved ones transitioned. We held their hands and comforted them in the best way possible when it was time for them to say goodbye to the world.
