Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasper Mangum
Hi Jasper, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always been creative. It all started at an early age, from building mindless ideas to creating personalized gifts for family and friends. It’s just something I enjoy doing and very therapeutic to me. I’m always thinking of something new to do and I feel like I’m just scratching the surface of my future potential.
Creating rugs, I remember waking up one morning around 3am starring at the ceiling asking myself, “What can I do to differently to spark Memphis??? How can I grasp the attention and hopefully set a positive trend throughout my city???” And so here I am designing customize rugs.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, nothing in life is smooth. What is life without challenges and obstacles. As for me, I spent countless hours facing frustration, times I wanted to give up, but I managed to conquer my errors and set my own path for greatness. Do I still face challenges, of course, but I promise you the finish product makes every bump in the road worth it!!!

So my primary occupation is a firefighter. One of the most exciting and terrifying jobs ever, but NOTHING in the world is more warming than hearing someone say, “Thank you for saving my life.”
I am known for a lot of things, from playing basketball to just being creative.
I am most proud of my success. I came from a little neighborhood where no one is meant to make it out, facing different revenues of negativity. But despite the conditions I was surrounded by, I never gave up nor did I fall into the conditions of my upbringing. I guess you can say that is what set me apart from others.
