I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Memphis, TN, a place known for its rich culture and musical heritage. My journey in the professional world began with a passion for beauty; I became a hairstylist and dreamed of owning my own beauty and spa business. This creative path allowed me to connect with people on a personal level, enhancing their confidence and self-esteem through transformative hair and beauty experiences.
However, life took an unexpected turn, and I found myself transitioning into the healthcare field. In this new chapter, I became a surgical technician and laparoscopic specialist, where I played a crucial role in assisting surgeons during procedures. This position deepened my understanding of patient care and reinforced my commitment to serving others in a meaningful way. Every day, I worked alongside skilled medical professionals to ensure patients received the highest quality care, always striving to make their experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible.
After several years in healthcare, my desire to help people in a different capacity led me to the credit services industry. I became a certified credit consultant, and over the past fourteen years, I have dedicated myself to empowering individuals to understand and improve their credit scores. In 2015, I founded Moore Financial Services, where we focus on credit education and financial literacy. Through our tailored programs, we have helped thousands of clients navigate the complexities of the credit system, allowing them to achieve their financial goals, whether it’s buying a home, securing a loan, or simply gaining peace of mind in their financial management.
I take great pride in my work, and my efforts have not gone unnoticed. In recognition of my commitment, leadership, and professional excellence, I was honored to be included in the 2022 Honors Edition of the Nationwide Registries Women of Distinction. This acknowledgment reflects my dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Throughout my diverse career, I have always maintained the same fundamental goal: to leave people in a better position than they were before our encounter. Whether working in a beauty salon, an operating room, or navigating credit issues, my mission remains clear—I was born to serve and I am here to provide guidance, encouragement, and resources along the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has certainly had its challenges. I’ve faced health issues that have sometimes made it difficult to stay on track and maintain my goals. These physical setbacks often contributed to a battle in my mind, where I had to constantly remind myself to stay positive and motivated despite the circumstances.
I have faced challenges with complacency and have actively taken steps to overcome it. There were times when I felt trapped in a routine that did not foster my growth and improvement. Determined to break free from my comfort zone, I made it a priority to seek out new opportunities for engagement and self-elevation. This has proven to be a rewarding challenge, and I now consciously look for ways to push myself further.
My circle of friends and family has also played a critical role in this journey. While their support has generally been a source of strength, there were moments when I had to assess whether certain relationships were helping or hindering my progress. Surrounding myself with positive, motivating individuals has been essential in overcoming struggles and maintaining my focus on growth.
Every one of these struggles has taught me invaluable lessons about resilience and perseverance. While the challenges often feel daunting at times, they have contributed significantly to my development as a leader and the overall growth of my business.

Embracing risk has been a fundamental part of my journey; I’ve always gone against the grain, fueled by curiosity and a desire to push limits. Instead of running away from uncertainty, I see it as an opportunity for growth and exploration.
Every time I take a risk, whether big or small, I open the door to new experiences and insights. This mindset has allowed me to learn more about myself and the world around me. I’ve found that leaning into discomfort can lead to the most rewarding moments, both personally and professionally. Taking risks has enriched my life in unexpected ways and taught me to navigate challenges with resilience and creativity.
