Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up as a kid in Memphis I was always fascinated with the healthcare industry. I would sit in the backyard and play doctor with my dad’s tool box. When I would go inside of hospitals or at my doctor’s appointments I would love to see all supplies and the flow of the hospital operation itself. I made up in my mid when I got older I wanted to be just like the people I saw care for my loved ones and myself. When I went to college, I decided to do just that. Little did I know, my sophomore year, I would lose my best-friend, my mom. My mother’s death was very unexpected. I had just spoken with her that morning and in less than 24 hours later, unknown cardiac issues resulted in her death at 44 years old. For anyone who has lost a mother or even a parent in general, you know the toll it can take on you. Her death affected me mentally, physically, and emotionally. My parents raised me in a Christian household and though I knew my mother was no longer physically with me, I knew two things: 1. That I would see her again in heaven and 2. That God still had a plan for my life so I couldn’t just quit.
After re-assessing my life plans, I decided to change my major and three years later, I graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration.
Shortly after my graduation, I landed a job at an healthcare facility that practiced holistic medicine by getting to the body’s root of the issue as opposed to prescribing medications as a first result. Once I began to see how many patients were receiving transformations and replacing medications with natural regimens it was programmed in me “find the natural solutions” first. It was at this point that I knew that I wanted to make an impact not only in my family but in my community as well. I remembered how young my mother lost her life due to health issues and I wanted to bring healthier solutions to those who didn’t know these options existed.
Throughout the years of grieving my mother and shortly after my grandparents, my health began to decline. Before the age of 30, I was already diagnosed with hypertension, having iron infusions due to chronic anemia, borderline diabetic, and depressive disorder with lack of energy to want to do anything. Though I had saw the benefits of holistic medicine, I found myself on several prescribed medications that I knew weren’t fixing the root of my situation.
In 2020 the pandemic hit. Working in the healthcare industry, we were all trying to figure out how to stay healthy and keep our immune systems boosted, especially those of us who already were dealing with health issues. That is when someone introduced me to what would soon change my life for the better, Sea Moss. The more consistent I became, the more I could truly tell the impact of this superfood on my body from the inside out. I had more energy, I wasn’t getting my yearly common colds, my blood pressure was decreasing, my glucose was decreasing, my appetite was suppressed and I was no longer overeating, and I noticed I had an EXTREME increase of energy and began to exercise more. It was like I was becoming a brand new person! After a year of PRAYER and CONSISTENTLY taking sea moss, I went to the doctor for my annual physical and I was told I no longer needed my prescribed medications or iron infusions! Can someone say Hallelujah!
Seeing these changes, made me become a STRONG advocate for Sea Moss and I wanted others to experience these very same benefits of this superfood! My first attempt was a soft launch that honestly didn’t go as expected. Though people were hearing AND seeing my success they weren’t convinced enough to purchase consistently. However, I did NOT quit! and I kept taking it myself. After a series of events, I decided to move back to relocate and introduce Heavenly Sea Moss Kreations to my hometown, Memphis,TN. Since re-launching my business publicly in 2024 I have seen so many success stories just like mine of how Sea Moss has changed my customers’ lives for the better!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey was not a smooth one. I experienced many personal and business setbacks along the journey. One of my main setbacks personally was not believing in myself because entrepreneurship was new for me and NOT for the weak because of the many challenges that may come along the way of just trying to “figure it all out”. One thing I quickly learned is if you don’t believe in your business no one else will either.
I like to remind myself that “MY business is MY business” and if God gave me this business, he will teach me through the Holy Spirit how to manage it and connect me with the right people to better serve my community.
A business setback was figuring out what I wanted to bring to the market and who my target audience was. One of the lessons I learned during my first attempt at launching my business was not knowing what products I wanted to offer and being comfortable knowing that my products aren’t for everyone regardless of the benefits. Though many people may like Sea Moss, not all of them were comfortable with my “Jesus Brand”.
I encourage any faith-based entrepreneurs to stand firm on their foundations and principles of their business. Now that I have found my audience and believe in myself, there is no limit because I know God is with me.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
As I stated before, I grew up in church and I am a firm believer in keeping God first and having faith to trust that in the end everything will work out for our good. I believe that with God all things are possible and without him we are NOTHING!
Also, it is essential for you to have the right team/ accountability system and to surround yourself around people who are already where you are trying to go (a mentor).
I will encourage anyone to FINISH STRONG! When you start a thing, it’s okay to pause or take a break, but DON’T QUIT! Believe in yourself and BEGIN AGAIN!
Remember to be resilient! Everyone wasn’t promised an “easy” life. However, if you remember to persevere and keep God first, you can and will make it through the storm! If you quit, you’re only prolonging your time in the storm.
