Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubriana Mccarty
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi my name is Aubriana, I’m a licensed Esthetician specializing in Full Body Waxing. My love for beauty started back when I was just a little girl. I would love watching my mom and tía do their makeup before leaving out the house. I would always get makeup kits for the holidays and although I wasn’t the best at it, my passion for beauty didn’t stop there. In 2017 I grew a love for lashes and would always apply clusters on myself and eventually all my friends and family. Everyone around me always told me I should take lashing seriously so I applied to school in 2021 to be an Esthetician and once I graduated I started lashing and waxing close friends and family out of my mom’s house. At the time I was also working a warehouse job that took all my time so after a few months I was ready for a change. In 2023, I decided to apply to my first esthetics job specializing in only full body waxing. Training wasn’t easy, and I would question if waxing was even my passion anymore day after day. I would take 45 minutes on just 1 Brazilian and that’s not including any other service. I didn’t let my emotions get the best of me though, and would always ask for a client so I could get my technique and time down. After a few months I was able to perform a brazilian in under 7 minutes. My fastest time was 5 minutes and the 2 extra minutes come from the clients getting dressed. I wanted to give my clientele an environment where I can give them quality over quantity. Sometimes it’s not always about how fast you are, it’s about the little things too. Building a strong relationship with your clientele so it’s not just about the numbers. I worked day end and day out to save enough money up to start my own business. In December of 2024, I started my own business called Luxri Beauty. As of right now I specialize in Full Body Waxing with exfoliating products on the way!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a very rocky road. My biggest advice is to not let a company take your shine away. I went from being praised at a company and getting rewarded Employee of the Month to getting told that we would never be anything if we were to go off on our own. I struggled a lot with my confidence even though my clients were my biggest supporters. Having your support system in one ear, and someone you looked up to in another was such an emotional roller coaster. I had to find the encouragement at my fellow establishment to pursue my dreams versus their dream of having a franchise.
We’ve been impressed with Luxri Beauty LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business name is Luxri Beauty, and I am a licensed Esthetician specializing in Full Body Waxing. I am known for providing my clients with the service they deserve and desire, while making them feel safe and comfortable. What sets me apart from others would have to be that I am able to give them a Brazilian in 7 minutes while we have a full blown conversation about something completely unrelated. I am able to tell my clients about their skin type, if they’ve been exfoliating enough or not at all, while also laughing together like besties about whatever topic we’re on that appointment. Luxri Beauty offers Full Body Waxing and will soon have a skin care line that is on the way with more to come!

God, Family, Friends, and Clients for sure deserve credit. If it wasn’t for all of them I wouldn’t be where I am today. They helped me find my light again, and follow my dreams.
