Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie & Justin Goodman
Hi Stephanie & Justin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Sprinkle Creative was officially launched in 2017, but its roots trace back much further. I developed a passion for photography at a young age, earning recognition in several photography and video contests along the way. These early accomplishments, which included everything from small trophies to a memorable encounter with tennis icons Venus and Serena Williams, paved the way for a growing small business.
Initially, Sprinkle Creative offered photography services pro bono, working with local non-profit organizations like Girls on the Run. This hands-on experience helped refine the skills that would later fuel the business’s growth. In time, I began taking on paying clients, eventually bringing my husband on board as a second shooter.
Today, Sprinkle Creative offers a range of services, including photography, videography, and branding. We are experienced product, food, portrait, and wedding photographers. I’ve even had the honor of Ja Morant using my camera for a selfie.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One memorable experience during my early photography career involved losing a camera on a train ride from Dusseldorf to Berlin. After reporting the loss to the transit authority, I was lucky enough to have a good Samaritan find the bag and return it. It was definitely a wild trip without my go-to camera!
The journey to building Sprinkle Creative also taught me some valuable lessons in business. Such as the importance of having a solid contract, a professional website, and maintaining an active blog. These lessons helped strengthen the foundation of Sprinkle Creative. We’ve been able to grow and become more resilient and successful than ever before!

I’m pretty sure Sprinkle Creative is the premier 40th birthday photographer in the Mid-South! It’s such a joy to capture these milestone moments and we have attracted a diverse clientele seeking vibrant and memorable shoots on their birthdays. We are passionate about capturing joy and energy in the photos we take.
While birthday and portrait photography are key services, a big focus is on branding. With a background in marketing and years of experience working with major companies in packaging, branding, and training, I have a passion for helping local businesses enhance their brand identity. A strong website and professional photos can make all the difference.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice to new photographers and videographers is pretty straightforward. Seek out local non-profit organizations. Non-profits are always in need of quality photos and they’re wonderful people to work with. It’s a great way to give back to your community, improve your skills, and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
As for networking; Kindness and comfort go a long way. Whether you’re meeting new clients or networking with industry professionals, people will remember how you made them feel.
