Today we’d like to introduce you to Leeana Rios
Hi Leeana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m 25 years old. I’m a Memphis based Hairstylist who’s been in the beauty industry for 5 years! I graduated from Paul Mitchell Memphis in 2019, I started with mobile event styling then I landed a stylist position at a salon in Collierville. In October of 2022 I started LA x Beauty and became an independent stylist. I stayed in Collierville for 3 years of my career. 2024 was a life changing year for me; I got pregnant with my first son and became a mom! Towards the end of my maternity leave I made the hard decision to leave my previous salon and salon family; even though this wasn’t what I wanted I knew that being closer to my home and family in Bartlett was where I needed to be. This led me to opening up my own suite in the middle of Bartlett in November! I was scared and nervous for this charge but excited for this new chapter all at the same time!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Luckily it’s been a smooth road! I’m blessed to have a supportive family and that I’m able to have a flexible schedule with my partner to work when I want and work opposite days of him to be able to take care of our little one. I think in a way being a mother has it’s challenges but nothing that can’t be learned, adjusted to and over come, definitely wouldn’t go back to the old me!

I specialize in Blonding & Lived In Color, Hair Extensions, and Bridal Hairstyling.
I go by LA hence my business name !
Having blonde and purple hair has been my staple piece for so long now.
I’m so proud of coming so far since starting my business but my most proud moment has been becoming a mother, Waking up to my smiley, happy baby has been one of the top joys in life!
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising about me is I’m an introvert despite being in an industry where I have to be an extrovert!
