My Journey in the Balloon Industry
I am Lauri González, I’m 34 years old, and I’m from Maracaibo, Venezuela. Since I was a child, I have always had a passion for art and design, which led me to graduate as a graphic designer. In addition to my love for design, I have always enjoyed creating unique details for different occasions, transforming any idea into something special.
Eight years ago, I came to this country in search of better opportunities, with the dream of building a successful future. It was here that I discovered my true calling: balloon decorations. Five years ago, I decided to start my own business, offering decoration services for parties and events. I knew I could bring something different to the industry, so I dedicated myself to learning and training with different instructors, exploring new techniques and trends in the world of balloons.
I started in a small room, with few resources but a lot of passion and determination. Little by little, my work started gaining recognition, and I realized I needed something bigger to continue growing. That’s when I made the decision to open my own balloon and gift shop—a space where I can bring my clients’ ideas to life and keep creating unforgettable moments.
Today, I feel deeply grateful to God, to every one of my clients, and to all the people who have supported me along the way. Being an immigrant hasn’t been easy, but I am proud to know that through hard work, dedication, and love for what I do, I have been able to represent so many others who come to this country to contribute, to add value, and to make things better.

If you have a dream, chase it without fear. No matter how small the beginning may seem, the most important thing is to take the first step. There will be challenges, but with determination and faith, every obstacle becomes a lesson. Don’t let fear hold you back, because great achievements start with small beginnings. Believe in yourself, work with passion, and never stop dreaming. You can achieve it too!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a difficult road, everything has been new for me but with determination I have achieved it.
