Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Sinh
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started with my deep love for food and travel. Growing up, food was always more than just sustenance for me—it was a way to connect with people, cultures, and experiences. I’ve always had a strong desire to explore new places, but what truly captivated me was how food could tell the story of a place. I’d find myself traveling to new destinations, not for the sights or tourist attractions, but simply for the food. There’s something magical about tasting local dishes and experiencing flavors that are so unique to that region.
Initially, I began sharing these culinary adventures on my personal social media. I was posting photos of dishes I’d discovered while traveling and experimenting with new recipes in my own kitchen. Over time, I started receiving more engagement from people who shared a similar passion for food and travel. That’s when I realized I could create something more—a space where I could combine both my love for exploring new places and my passion for food. And that’s when Sinhfuleats was born.
Sinhfuleats started as a small, personal food blog where I could share recipes, food finds, and travel-inspired culinary experiences. I focused on dishes that brought together flavors from different cultures, as well as indulgent comfort foods that made people feel good. As my audience grew, so did the opportunities to collaborate with brands, fellow creators, and share more of my journey, both in the kitchen and on the road.
I found that combining travel and food created an authenticity in my content that resonated with people. There’s something so special about immersing yourself in a place through its food, and I wanted to bring that sense of adventure and discovery to others. Whether it was exploring a street food market in Thailand, tasting local delicacies in Italy, or cooking a recipe inspired by my travels, Sinhfuleats became a reflection of my journey to discover and celebrate food, no matter where I was.
Now, Sinhfuleats is more than just a food blog—it’s a community. It’s a place where people can join me in experiencing new flavors, recipes, and cultures, whether through my travel stories or my cooking experiments at home. What started as a small passion project has blossomed into something much bigger, and I’m excited to keep growing, both in my kitchen and in the world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but that’s part of what makes the journey so rewarding. Like any new venture, there have been obstacles along the way that have tested me, but each challenge has also been a learning experience.
One of the biggest struggles early on was finding my voice and carving out a unique space in the crowded world of food blogging and influencers. There’s so much content out there, and standing out takes time and consistency. I had to experiment with different approaches, understand my audience better, and figure out what truly resonated with people. That process wasn’t always easy, and there were times when I doubted whether I was on the right path.
Another challenge has been balancing content creation with everything else in life—especially as Sinhfuleats grew. As a solo creator, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the pressure to keep producing fresh, engaging content while also managing the business side of things. But over time, I’ve learned to stay organized and find a balance that works for me. The support from the community and the feedback I get from followers has helped keep me motivated during the tougher moments.
There’s also the technical side of things—whether it’s mastering photography, figuring out algorithms, or learning new tools and platforms. These can feel daunting, especially when you’re just starting out, but each challenge has made me more adaptable and knowledgeable.
Ultimately, these struggles have shaped Sinhfuleats into what it is today. I’ve learned to embrace the setbacks and use them as stepping stones, always looking for ways to grow and improve. While it hasn’t been easy, I wouldn’t change any part of the journey, because it’s all helped me get to where I am now.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the creator behind Sinhfuleats, a food blog that blends my passion for food with my entrepreneurial drive. My journey into food blogging started with my love for travel and how food has always been the heart of my experiences around the world. I realized that food is not just about nourishment—it’s a way to connect with people, cultures, and memories. So, I started sharing my culinary adventures, recipes, and food finds, combining my love for diverse cuisines with a fun, approachable style.
Before diving into the world of food content creation, I built a strong professional background in operations and project management. I worked at HP Inc for several years, where I led multimillion-dollar global budgets, negotiated contracts, and optimized supply chain operations. This experience gave me valuable skills in leadership, analytics, and efficiency—skills that I’ve been able to apply to my food blogging business. Whether managing collaborations or planning content, I bring a strategic mindset to everything I do.
One of the things that sets me apart is my ability to blend creativity with structure. While I focus on making food fun and accessible through recipes and travel-inspired content, I also use my business expertise to run Sinhfuleats as a growing brand, ensuring that everything from content creation to partnerships is managed thoughtfully and effectively.
What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built around Sinhfuleats. It’s amazing to see how my content resonates with people and how food can bring us all together. I’m also proud of the entrepreneurial side of my journey—transforming Sinhfuleats from a passion project into a business, collaborating with fantastic brands, and continuing to grow my influence in the food space.
And on top of all that, I’m currently working on launching my own boba cart business! I’m so excited about this new venture and can’t wait to share more details with everyone as it comes together. It’s an exciting new chapter in my journey, and I’m thrilled to see where it takes me.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
For me, the most valuable resource in both my personal and professional life has been the relationships I’ve built. Over the years, I’ve found that surrounding myself with like-minded, supportive people has made all the difference. Building friendships with fellow creators, entrepreneurs, and even those in my personal life has allowed me to feed off of each other’s energy, ideas, and experiences.
I believe that success is not just about individual effort but also about learning from others. Whether it’s sharing creative ideas with fellow food bloggers, brainstorming new business strategies with other entrepreneurs, or simply having honest conversations with friends who offer different perspectives, these connections have been my most helpful resources. These relationships have helped me stay inspired, overcome obstacles, and grow in ways I never could have on my own.
While I do enjoy listening to podcasts, reading books, and exploring new apps to stay organized and learn new things, I think the real growth comes from collaborating with others, building a strong network, and learning together. These friendships and interactions have been my greatest tools for success, both in my career and in life.
