Hi Jason, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
UpKeep Cleaning Services is a family-owned business that started in 2016. Some of those services include; COVID Disinfectant Spraying, Carpet Cleaning, Move In/Out Cleaning, and Housekeeping. We also provide one time or even routinely scheduled cleanings.
I started the business as a carpet cleaning business. I gained my certification in this while gaining my Master’s in Instructional Technology. I grew services as demands increase due to COVID. We are now heading into more commercial and residential cleaningw.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth. The learning curve of the trade of carpet cleaning and other cleaning services, while maintaining a full time job and being present for my family, brings many long days wearing many different hats. The switching of roles can be exhausting and some time distracting but worth all of the rewards of building something.
