Today we’d like to introduce you to Kacie Cooper.
Hi Kacie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been a floral designer for almost 30 years. In 2006, I officially started my own business concentrating on weddings and events (my favorite!). This also gave me the freedom to start a family. I have three children and a supportive husband. In 2019, in cooperation with experienced event planner Ashley Moore, we started offering wedding coordination.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I didn’t get to this point in my business journey overnight. It was slow! But in going slow, I haven’t experienced any painful set backs! Prices of flowers and supplies have increased this year. It’s been tough, I’ve had to increase my prices a little but I’m working on finding new sources and creative ways to save so I don’t have to pass much of the burden on to my clients.

What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been creative but also pragmatic. Both left and right brained. I think this makes me a successful business owner.
