Today we’d like to introduce you to Wikid Films.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Wikid films was established in 2015 by Carlos Williams in Memphis, TN. He started out engineering and producing and shooting videos for local rappers, including some of the buggest names of today including Kevo Muney, Money Bagg Yo, and more. He made his way into the music video field because the artists that he engineered for needed music videos. He gained his popularity by having one of the fastest video editing turnarounds. Wikid joined the YouTube platform early, where he started publishing his film works there. His YouTube platform has since grown to over 1.2 MILLION unique subscribers. A lot of popular artists & talent that we know today were either discovered by Wikid or used Wikid’s platform to gain popularity. Some of these artist are Glorilla, in which Wikid helped gets Glorilla signed to CMg. Sexyy Red’s hit song pound town blew up after doing a “BoxedIn Live performance” with Wikid on his platform. And Big Boogie was discovered by Wikid, to name a few. In 2020 during the pandemic, Wikid created BoxedIn. BoxedIn is a platform that popularized the hanging mic music videos and comedy interviews on a podcast. No Wikid is shifting his focus to artist management and creating a film television network where various shows and other content will be featured.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Major struggles Wikid faced was always shifting gears with the content in order to stay relevant. Most times when something he does gets popular, other platforms will do the same thing, which essentially “waters down” the original content we create. You always have to be willing to reinvent yourself in order to stay relevant and make money.

Wikid Films specializes in Film production, artist management, and promotion. Typically, an artist would need management, would have to pay for visual content, pay for promotion, and find the right platform to have it released on. We’re a one stop shop. We also create custom content such as unique interviews.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Always do what you love, the money will come. Also, never make business personal.
