We recently had the chance to connect with Taneisha Horton and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Taneisha, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I would have to say a persons integrity and their energy is most important to me. That tells me the person can be trusted and has morals and standards and if they have a vibrant energy, that just tops it off!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Taneisha—born and raised in Memphis, TN. I’m a proud wife, mother, creative soul, travel enthusiast, and most importantly, a woman of faith. Photography has been my passion since my teenage years, and over time, it has become more than just a hobby—it’s a ministry. I see each session as an opportunity to serve others while capturing, celebrating, and spreading love through my lens.
With nearly five years of experience, I’ve honed my craft to deliver timeless wedding portraits, cherished family moments, and powerful branding content for entrepreneurs. It would be my honor to bring your vision to life and meet your photography needs with care, creativity, and excellence.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve always been a free spirited person. I’ve always been grooving and moving to my own beat. I’ve been the person to “do it alone”. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that we all need a village, a community or just 2 or 3 people that loves, believes, protect & uplift you.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there’s been a handful of times. BUT GOD! I use to always look for others to validate what GOD had already told me. & when the people in my life that I thought would be my biggest cheerleader or support, did the complete opposite, I wanted to throw in the towel. I’ve learned that most don’t like to see others grow. They love who I use to be. When I began to really grow, everybody was silent & the whispering started( behind my back). GOD told me clearly, I gave this dream to YOU, not them. They are not your people anyway! Since then I’ve been blessed with complete strangers that see my value and cheer me on more than I could ever imagine.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
To give love freely in the world. I’ve been hurt, betrayed, backstabbed, I mean you name it. My mission is to give love back in return. I want to love like JESUS in everything I do!
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
I’ve always said money, titles, and material things never mattered to me. I’m the richest because of My heart! I
Oh my heart is big!! Someone could talk about me like a down and I’ll see them hurt and me being me, I’ll comfort them and still show them love.
