A normal day for me right now looks like balancing new motherhood while also running my business. I start my day feeding and caring for my baby, and later you’ll find me singing to my son while painting wigs and managing my work.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Zaliyahful, the owner of Fullycolored, a hair coloring service and business specializing in creating vibrant, personalized looks. I believe everyone deserves to feel beautifully colored. My mission is to help people express themselves through unique and eye-catching hair colors. I understand how powerful a fresh hairstyle can be—it boosts confidence, uplifts your mood, and helps you feel truly yourself.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was Zaliyah before the world told me to become my alter ego, Zaliyahful. Zaliyahful is a powerful woman—radiating positivity and determined to be a hero in her community. Zaliyah, on the other hand, is the quieter side of me—the girl who used to stay silent and hide in the background. Together, they represent my journey from staying in the shadows to stepping boldly into my purpose.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be this: be yourself. Stand up for what you believe in and don’t worry about fitting in or chasing the latest trends. You don’t have to follow everyone else’s path—create your own. Find what truly makes you happy and embrace it wholeheartedly.

Yes, the public version is the real me. Whether I’m showing Zaliyah or Zaliyahful, I’ve always kept a kind heart. I’m naturally outgoing—the type of person who can sit at a stranger’s table, start a conversation, and leave them smiling, saying, “You made my day.”
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m coloring hair or doing any of my hobbies. It brings me a sense of calm, almost like I’m in my own world. In my creative space, surrounded by color, I’m filled with bright, uplifting feelings. When I read, I experience that same escape—each book takes me into a different world, allowing me to step away from reality for a while.
