Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Mullis.
Hi Kelly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My love of vintage and thrifting started early. I was going to estate sales with my parents and my obsessions with trinkets, glass, and Victorian furniture took off.
I had my 1st apartment and my 1st home filled with vintage. My 1st big purchases were a buffett and a brass bed frame.
When my kids were young they’d tell me we live in a “granny house”. Of course they didnt mean that complimentary but now they get it!
Fast forward, my “collections” have grown and have shifted through the years.
My first booth space was in Southaven.
Which led to a booth space in Memphis, which turned into three spaces. We started doing local markets which led us to our current shop inside Minglewood Plaza.
To say we are lucky and blessed is an understatement. A chance meeting at a market with the Minglewood GM brought us here.
I’ve had a vision for years of what I wanted to create if we could bring this to life.
A place for everyone and every wallet.
An eclectic space. A chill , fun experience.
Come in, meet someone new, sit on the couch and chat with us. Touch and try on everything and build community with us!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s exciting, and terrifying at the same time. There are always struggles owning any type of business. “If you built it they will come” doesn’t always happen or happen easily. Getting on the map can be difficult.
