Meet Anthony Cohran of Magnificent Hands Massage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Cohran.

Hi Anthony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my journey with a passion for helping others, a passion that was instilled in me at a young age by my grandmother. She raised me and taught me the importance of respect, compassion, and working hard no matter the circumstances. Watching her care for others and lead by example shaped who I am and how I show up for people today.
Family has played a huge role in my journey as well. As people say, it takes a village—and my village truly showed up for me. They made sure I had the right tools, guidance, and support to succeed in life, always encouraging me to stay focused, grounded, and committed to my goals.
My professional journey took a meaningful turn after I was not accepted into physical therapy school. Instead of letting that setback stop me, I saw it as redirection. Growing up living with my grandmother while she was ill, I began giving her massages to help with blood flow and circulation. Seeing the relief it brought her—and hearing her tell me that this was my calling—was a defining moment in my life.
From that point on, I knew I wanted to help others heal through hands-on care. I later pursued massage therapy at Concorde Career College, where I developed the skills, knowledge, and confidence to turn my passion into a profession. Through training, practice, and dedication, I learned not only the techniques of massage, but how to truly listen to the body and the needs of each individual.
Today, I’m proud to be where I am—using my experience, work ethic, and heart for service to help people relax, heal, and reset. My journey continues to be guided by the lessons my grandmother and family instilled in me, gratitude for my village, and a deep desire to make a positive impact, one person at a time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I definitely wouldn’t say it was a smooth road, but I also wouldn’t call it a struggle in a negative way. Every step along the way was a blessing that helped shape the path that led me to where I am today.
I started off working as a contract massage therapist and fitness trainer at a nursing home, which taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of meeting people where they are—both physically and emotionally. Working in that environment challenged me to grow, sharpen my skills, and truly understand the impact of therapeutic care, especially for individuals with limited mobility or health concerns.
Working as a contract therapist also opened doors to build strong relationships with other companies and organizations. Through those connections, I’ve had the opportunity to work with hospitals, chiropractors, schools, banks, and various community programs. Each setting expanded my perspective, strengthened my professionalism, and allowed me to serve a diverse range of people with different needs.
I’ve now been a massage therapist for over 15 years, and every experience along the way has contributed to the practitioner I am today. Looking back, I’m grateful for the journey, the relationships built, and the opportunities that continue to affirm that I’m walking in my purpose.

As you know, we’re big fans of Magnificent Hands Massage . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is built on purpose, passion, and people. With over 15 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, I’ve dedicated my career to helping individuals heal, recover, and feel their best through intentional, high-quality care.
I specialize in Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Stretching, and Trigger Point Therapy. My work is rooted in both education and experience, having received training from the University of Mississippi and Concorde Career College. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with organizations such as St. Jude, Cigna, Wright Care, CareMax, schools, hospitals, and many other companies, which has allowed me to serve a wide range of clients with diverse needs.
What truly sets my business apart is the heart behind the work. I treat every massage like it’s my last—meaning every client receives my full attention, care, and respect. I don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” sessions; each massage is intentional and tailored to the individual. Because of that, many of my clients become more than clients—they become family and friends.
I’m also proud to have shared my passion and skills with other licensed massage therapists over the years, helping uplift and educate others in the field. Giving back to the profession is an important part of my journey.
The name of my business, Magnificent, holds deep meaning for me. It was inspired by my grandmother, who always told me I was doing a magnificent job. After her passing, I carried that memory with me and allowed it to become the foundation of my brand. Every day, that word reminds me to lead with excellence, love, and purpose as I serve my massage family.
What I want readers to know is that Magnificent is more than a massage business—it’s a place where care is genuine, healing is intentional, and every person is treated with love. That’s what I’m most proud of, and that’s what drives me every single day.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The quality I feel is most important to my success is genuine care for people. Skill and experience matter, but what truly sets me apart is the heart I bring to my work. I care deeply about how my clients feel—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and that shows in every session.
That genuine care, paired with consistency and a strong work ethic, has allowed me to build trust and long-lasting relationships. I listen, I’m present, and I treat every client with love and respect, as if they’re family. Because of that, people don’t just come to me for a massage—they come back because they feel seen, supported, and valued.
