Today we’d like to introduce you to Rasheeda Macon Wooten.
Hi Rasheeda, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My path to starting Clarity Point Life Coaching didn’t begin with a formal business plan. It really grew out of years of conversations where I found myself naturally walking alongside people as they navigated big life and career decisions. Friends, colleagues, and women in my community would often come to me when they were trying to sort through their next step.
But the truth is, the idea for Clarity Point Life Coaching also came from a very personal place. At one point I found myself trying to balance everything — family, work, friendships, and responsibilities — while quietly carrying the pressure of not wanting to fall behind. Like many people, I was moving fast, checking the boxes, and doing what needed to be done, but somewhere along the way I realized I had stopped creating space to really process life and find joy in it.
That season taught me something important: most people aren’t struggling because they lack ability. They’re struggling because they don’t have space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what actually matters to them.
Clarity Point Life Coaching was created to offer the kind of space I once needed myself — a place to slow down, gain perspective, and reconnect with what truly matters. When someone becomes clear about who they are and what matters most, everything else begins to shift.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. In many ways, the biggest challenges have been internal. I’ve always considered myself an overachiever — someone who works hard, meets expectations, and feels comfortable in spaces where success is clearly defined. Building something of your own is very different.
There were moments where the fear of failure was very real for me. When you step out to build something that reflects your heart and your values, it can feel incredibly vulnerable. I went from environments where I knew how to succeed to a season where I had to trust my own vision, even when I didn’t have all the answers. As someone who was used to feeling confident in my direction, navigating moments of uncertainty was not always easy.
I also had to confront the quiet pressure many of us carry — the feeling that we should already have everything figured out or be further along. Balancing life while trying to build something meaningful required me to slow down and give myself the same grace that I encourage others to have.
Looking back, that process has been one of the most important parts of the journey. It reminded me that growth isn’t about eliminating doubt or fear — it’s about learning to move forward with intention, even while you’re still growing into the vision.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Clarity Point Life Coaching focuses on helping people create the time they need to slow down, think clearly, and make intentional decisions about their lives. At different points in life, almost everyone reaches a moment where they feel pulled in multiple directions — work, family, relationships, responsibilities, or simply trying to figure out what the next season should look like. My work is about creating the space for people to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters to them before deciding how they want to move forward.
Through one-on-one coaching and small group experiences, I help clients step out of the constant pace of everyday life and reconnect with their own perspective. Sometimes people assume coaching is about giving advice or telling someone what to do, but my approach is different. The work is really about giving people the space to slow down and sort through what’s going on in their lives so they can hear themselves clearly again.
What sets Clarity Point Life Coaching apart is the intentionality behind the space we create. It’s not about quick fixes or pushing people toward someone else’s definition of success. It’s about helping individuals align their decisions with their values, their priorities, and the life they truly want to build. I want people to become who they were meant to be, not just the version of themselves that the world’s expectations created.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is that Clarity Point has become a place where people are relaxed enough to be honest about where they are and where they want to go. I encourage them to say those internal whispers out loud, That level of trust means a lot to me because it reflects the heart behind the work.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that Clarity Point Life Coaching exists to help them pause, reflect, and move forward with greater confidence and intention.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
One of the things I appreciate most about Memphis is the sense of community. It’s a city where people support one another, and there’s a strong culture of lifting up local entrepreneurs, creatives, and artists that are working to make a difference. There’s also a Southern hospitality charm here that makes the city feel welcoming and connected in a way that’s hard to describe unless you experience it.
I also love that Memphis has a deep sense of identity and history. There’s pride in the culture here — from the music and food to the art and stories that have shaped the community over time. It gives the city a unique character that you can feel when you’re here.
If there’s anything I would hope to see more of, it’s continued investment in spaces and opportunities that help people grow — especially when it comes to education, mentorship, and supporting individuals as they discover their purpose and potential. Cities thrive when people feel empowered to contribute their gifts.
